This last week has been a historical week, indeed and in particularly the first part of the week where Trump went to Saudi Arabia and met with 50 of the Islamic nations and signed a concord that they are all going to stop funding the terrorists.

Trump gave quite a speech on fighting the terrorists. He did an excellent job with it. I don't know how many saw it, but it was really good. Yes, he said, "This is a battle between Good and Evil."

I think it was interesting, as you watch the king of Saudi Arabia—King Salman—he really looked like he really wanted all of this to happen. I think they're all tired of all the bloodshed.

Remember how many times I have said, 'I wonder if the Muslims are going to get tired of killing their own?' With all of the terrorist things, 95% of them are Muslim. Trump asked them all to unite, stop it, and he said:

President Trump's Speech to the Arab Islamic American Summit

Remarks as prepared for delivery
https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2017/05/21/president-trumps-speech-arab-islamic-american-summit

This is a battle between Good and Evil.

When we see the scenes of destruction in the wake of terror, we see no signs that those murdered were Jewish or Christian, Shia or Sunni. When we look upon the streams of innocent blood soaked into the ancient ground, we cannot see the faith or sect or tribe of the victims – we see only that they were Children of God whose deaths are an insult to all that is holy.

But we can only overcome this evil if the forces of good are united and strong – and if everyone in this room does their fair share and fulfills their part of the burden.

I don't know how many of you saw the fantastic hall that they met in, it was even better than Trump's buildings. I think that there will be some progress with this. We're going to talk a little bit about it.

Terrorism has spread across the world. But the path to peace begins right here, on this ancient soil, in this sacred land.

America is prepared to stand with you – in pursuit of shared interests and common security.

But the nations of the Middle East cannot wait for American power to crush this enemy for them. The nations of the Middle East will have to decide what kind of future they want for themselves, for their countries, and for their children.

It's interesting he put it in choices!

It is a choice between two futures—and it is a choice America CANNOT make for you.

very interesting the way he put that

A better future is only possible if your nations drive out the terrorists and extremists. Drive. Them. Out. DRIVE THEM OUT of your places of worship. DRIVE THEM OUT of your communities. DRIVE THEM OUT of your holy land, and DRIVE THEM OUT OF THIS EARTH.'

Quite a thing that he said! But will that be possible? How much can they curtail? You stop and think about the enemy that is there and what does the Bible tell us? This is why it will only go so far.

By the way, during the nine days that Donald Trump was on his world tour, there were three terror attacks: one in England, one in Italy and one in Egypt, as if to punctuate the fact how critical this is.

There's another thing that was missing at the meeting: a commitment by all the imams. I'm sure there's some pressure from Saudi Arabia to do this, to not preach radical jihad in the mosques. I'm sure that the Arabs are trying to do that. I think Jordan is, Kuwait is, and some others are.

How can they control it? The answer is: never! Because we know

  • this is more than a religion
  • this is more than a mindset
  • this is something that even with training is almost impossible to stop

The descendants of the Arabs are from Ishmael who was the son of Abraham through Hagar, the Egyptian. Sarah kicked her out and she went out in the wilderness. An angel found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness (Gen. 16:7).

Genesis 16:8: "And he said, 'Hagar, Sarai's maidservant, where did you come from? And where will you go?' And she said, 'I flee from the presence of my mistress Sarai.' And the angel of the LORD said to her, 'Return to your mistress and submit yourself under her hands.' And the angel of the LORD said to her, 'I will multiply your seed exceedingly, so that they shall not be numbered for multitude.' And the angel of the LORD said to her, 'Behold, you are with child, and shall bear a son. And you shall call his name Ishmael because the LORD has heard your affliction… [notice the genetic characteristics that follow through all the way down to today]: …And he will be a wild man. His hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him. And he shall live in the presence of all his brothers.''" (vs 8-12).

Then we know the twin brother of Jacob was Esau. Here's what Jacob prophesied concerning Esau. This was his blessing. Jacob didn't know and Esau didn't know and Ishmael did not know that under all the barren earth that they would be sent to was all of this oil.

Genesis 27:39: "And Isaac his father answered and said to him, 'Behold, your dwelling shall be far from the fatness of the earth and far from the dew of heaven from above. And you shall live by your sword and shall serve your brother. But it shall come to pass that when you shall have the dominion, you shall break his yoke from off your neck'" (vs 39-40).

So, he would live by the sword. That's the weakness in everything that is involved in stopping terrorism. What is the other one? There are a good number of these descendants that they're not out actually committing some kind of crime and killing, looting, and terrorism and things; probably the majority of them.

You set up all the things necessary to stop it, but what is the complete weakness of it? In almost every case when they go back and investigate, what do they find out about those who perpetrated the terrorist act? They were on some kind of watch-list!

Let's see what it is that only God knows; Numbers 27:15: "And Moses spoke to the LORD, saying, 'Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh…'" Everyone has a spirit of man.

Sidebar: The spirits of all flesh: Do animals have an animal spirit? You have to have a spirit to run the brain. So, when it says all flesh, that includes everything.

"'…set a man over the congregation, Who may go out before them, and who may go in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in, so that the congregation of the LORD may not be as sheep which have no shepherd'" (vs 16-17). That was choosing Joshua, son of Nun.

How could the terrorist attacks be reduced? Are they going to try and invent some kind of mind-reading apparatus? Think what would happen if that were the case. Think what would happen if they could do that with every human being. Do you think that the corrupt man would use it for a good purpose? Think about that! Here's something else.

Psalm 94:7: "Yet, they say, 'The LORD shall not see, nor shall the God of Jacob regard it.' Understand, you brutish ones among the people and you fools, when will you be wise? He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see? He who chastens the nations, shall He not correct? He who teaches man knowledge, shall not He know? The LORD knows the thoughts of man, that they are vanity" (vs 7-11).

  • How are you going to control the terrorists?
  • Could you ever come to a point of even bringing it down to a minimum?

This talks about the human heart, the human mind. Jeremiah said, 'The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, who can know it? 'It's not in man to direct his steps' (Jer. 17)

This is a good summary of what's wrong with the whole world and individuals in particularly without the Law of God. The Law of God if taught, and if they could apply it in the letter of the Law, would help reduce a lot of it. Won't eliminate it, but reduce a lot of it. But here's the problem:

Proverbs 16:2: "All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes…" Everyone who does evil thinks that's he's doing evil for a good cause. 'Kill the infidel! Praise Allah!'

"…but the LORD weighs the spirits" (v 2). He is called in the New Testament the heart knowing God. Who is the only One that could possibly have control to minimize terrorism? God!

We have seen this but we just need to remind ourselves concerning it. We see that the fight between the children of Israel, descendants of Abraham, has gone on for a long, long time. Remember when Jacob was coming back into the land and Esau had gone out conquered it all, made himself a great name. Esau said, 'I'm going to kill Jacob,' and Jacob was coming back.

You know how he sent a gift of so many lambs, a gift of so many cattle, a gift of so much goods, and so forth. He spread it out so that Esau, as he came to meet Jacob, would meet them one at a time. That would be a buffer to try and soften Esau's heart when Esau found Jacob because Jacob stole his birthright. No! Esau sold it! Here's how God makes it look like it's just human activity that does it, when it's God Who really did it.

Look at the deceit with Jacob and his mother Rebekah[transcriber's correction], to cook up the meal for Jacob's father Isaac. They knew what they were doing. Jacob knew when his father said to him, 'Is this really Esau?' Jacob said, 'Yes, my father,' because Jacob had goat's hair on the back of his neck, so I still can't feature how hairy that Esau was. Jacob had goat's hair on his hand.

Isaac said, 'You smell like Esau and you feel like Esau, but your voice is Jacob's.' Look at a family feud with that. When Esau said, 'I'm going to kill Jacob,' so you see what happened when Jacob came back. Who softened Esau's heart? God!

Now let's see how terrorism comes around and God using people to do it. Why would God do that? A God of love, why would He do that? Because God loves you, but the question is: Do you love Him?

Remember how Solomon started out, two visions of God. He was pleased; it was great; it was wonderful. 1-Kings 11 talks about all of his sins with his wives and concubines. Then actually giving sacrifice to Moloch and Chemosh. What did God do? Let's see what He did!

1-Kings 11:11: "And the LORD said to Solomon, 'Since this has been done by you, and since you have not kept My covenant…'"

God always keeps His covenant. What's in every covenant? Blessings and cursings! Everyone wants all the blessings. What's the curse of the New Covenant? Lake of Fire, and all the trouble in between! That's greater than what they went through.

How would it be if God came down in all of His power against Solomon because he did this? He could have repented here. Since God forgave Manasseh; look at all that Manasseh did for so many years. Here we have it:

"'…'Since this has been done by you, and since you have not kept My covenant and My statutes which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you and will give it to your servant. But I will not do it in your days, for David your father's sake, but I will tear it out of the hand of your son. Only, I will not tear away all the kingdom, but I will give one tribe to your son for David My servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen.' And it came to pass the LORD stirred up an adversary against Solomon …'" (vs 11-14).

A good comment by Steve, who is from the U.K. He says if you would give this message today in Manchester, would you be alive? This is for those who know the Bible and know God. The world can't handle it. Did you see the big heaps of flowers? They must have cut down every flower within two-mile radius of Manchester to bring in there for the memorial on the street where it happened.

They wouldn't hear it. This is why when people say you don't have to worry about the Old Testament that it's all been fulfilled, you miss the history of what God does. You miss the history of what people do.

Verse 14: "And it came to pass the LORD… [Who knows the heart, Who knows the spirit] …stirred up an adversary against Solomon, Hadad the Edomite…." Same old ancient battle going on. I couldn't help that watching that whole thing with Trump there in Saudi Arabia.

Here's a descendant of Jacob, with a descendant of Abraham (Esau), and the king—I don't know if you saw it—the king, 81-years-old was so happy to see Trump come. They rolled out the doublewide red carpet.

When Obama went they sent a third-rate Arab to meet him with no red carpet. That tells you the difference. The king was so happy to see him and even shook the hand of Trump's wife Melania and daughter Ivanka and everything. I think the king is really sincere in trying to stop this. The only way there will be any modification with this is if the descendants of Israel change their behavior to God. If God can stir up the spirit, He can cause him to 'unstir' it.

"…Hadad the Edomite. He was of the king's seed in Edom, For it came to pass when David was in Edom, and Joab the commander of the army had gone up to bury the slain after he had stricken every male in Edom—for Joab remained there six months with all Israel, until he had cut off every male in Edom—However Hadad fled, he and certain Edomites of his father's servants with him, to go to Egypt…" (vs 14-17).

I want you to see the parallels between the Jews and the Arabs. Then it shows how Hadad grew up and then he got a band of men. What did the bands of men do? They had terrorist attacks against the Israelites! Had Solomon repented and all the people repented, that perhaps could have changed.

Let's fast forward to today. Is God involved? or Did He set up the governments of this world and the nations? Yes, we find that He put all nations in their places (Acts 17). Ro. 13—here is what government has been given to do. We can look at this and see that if you look at the qualifications… and I was surprised during Trump's speech, he said 'righteous leaders.' So, there was a little bit of Bible in there.

He's stuck with a situation that he has to work with. He can't preach repentance, that's up to the churches to do that. He can preach change of what needs to be done and what needs to be right and good. He has to deal with it the way it is. You've got the three great world religions:

  • Islam
  • Judaism
  • Catholicism—attached to that is Protestantism

Those are the only moral forces in the world that have sway over people to have them to do what is right. That has to come down to the political leaders, who then in turn do what is right.

Romans 13:1: "Let everyone be subject to the higher authorities because there is no authority except from God; and those authorities that exist have been instituted by God." For Trump to come in there and say, 'We've got to do this and God is going to hold us accountable.' Correct.

  • How far will it go?
  • Will it go far enough so that there's more time to preach the Gospel?

We don't know, but this is historic! Perhaps may this temporarily be a big stepping-stone to before the end comes. This is a big deal: 50 Muslim nations coming there and agreeing to do everything they can to curtail terrorism. The king of Saudi Arabia letting it be known to the imams that there are certain parts of the Koran they need to quit preaching. If they do that, they may have some success for a while, because it's instituted by God.

Verse 2: "So then, the one who sets himself against the authority is resisting the ordinance of God; and those who resist shall receive judgment to themselves." May that happen in Washington, DLC—District of Liars and Corruption.

Verse 3: "For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil works. Do you desire not to be afraid of the authority? Then practice good, and you will have praise from it."

What did Trump give in his speech? "This is a battle between Good and Evil!" I think this is very important as it reflects to how prophecy is going to be fulfilled and very important as to how it affects the Churches of God and what we are to do.

As I mentioned in my sermon back in Cincinnati, that the preaching of the Gospel, the distributing of the Bible, both the Bible in printed form and the Bible in audio form, and the American Bible Society is now updated it to 600 languages complete Bible and 7,000 languages. God says it's going to be preached as a witness to the whole world and published in the whole world! So, God must finish that work. That is His work and He is using those organizations in the world to do it, because the Church does not have the means to do it or the ability to do it.

But we must preach the Truth and we must do what is right. We must shepherd the sheep and help them all prepare, every one of us, for the Kingdom of God. But nevertheless, God is going to make sure the world has the Word of God. He's going to make sure it goes to the end of the earth, because He said it would!

Then I mentioned about Space-X and putting out Wi-Fi everywhere. Look what it's going to be. Everybody has smart phones. Jonathan carries his Bible in his smart phone plus half of his work.

I talked to a man the other day and I told him he could download an app from afaithfulversion.org. He says, 'I prefer the printed word.'
Verse 4: "He is a servant of God to you for good. But if you are practicing evil, have fear! For he does not wear… [should be bear] …the sword in vain because he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to the one who is practicing evil."

Now with all the modern forensics… If you watch CNN Headline News where they have Forensic Files, I watched a cold case that was 50-years-old. They solved it through forensics. Amazing!

What is the ultimate that this could lead to before the Tribulation? Ever thought of that? All the way through Trump's speech is the word peace, peace!

What does it say in Ezek. 13? When they say peace, peace and they have dabbed the wall with whitewash, it looks good, looks wonderful, it's going to collapse! They will be able to do this. They will be able to make some success. I don't know how many of the successes they're going to pronounce, but they may pronounce enough of them so people will know that it's working.

1-Thessalonians 5:1: "Now then, concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, there is no need that I write to you; for you yourselves understand perfectly that the Day of the Lord will come exactly as a thief comes by night" (vs 1-2).

If you have all of these things, Matt. 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, other places of things going on: wars, rumors of wars, false prophets, and so forth. Then we're going to enter into a time that they're going to miracles. There are going to be false christs.

How can he come by a thief by night? If the world is all in turmoil right at this point in the midst of a great fight, how can he come as a thief in the night? A lot of people will be say, 'Oh, Lord, return! Hurry! Hurry!'

Verse 3: "For when they say, 'Peace and security'…"

  • Isn't that what Trump preached?
  • How long will it last?
  • What will it produce?

Will it last long enough for everyone to say, 'Look at all the peace and security; this is working good. Look at all of those that we're catching; look at what is happening. Yes, the Trump doctrine on fighting the terrorists is good.'

However, no one knows the heart and spirit except God. "…then sudden destruction will come upon them, as travail comes upon a woman who is with child; and they shall by no means escape" (v 3).

A woman doesn't know exactly when it's going to be, but Dolores knew. The general thing that women can think of is when it feels like you have a watermelon in your belly, it's about time for birth. It will come when you least expect it.

When Rachelle was born we were sitting in the Salt Shaker eating with grandma and Dolores says, 'We better hurry up and get out of here because I'm about ready.' So, we gobbled everything down, got in the car and drove home. We got home. We put the birth apparatus on the bed, straightened it out. The midwife came, and as soon as she entered into the door there was Rachelle, about that quick, pretty close. It was fast.

Everyone is going to see the underlying problems growing, growing, growing! But they will be able to contain it for a while and then growing and growing, contain it for a while. Then BOOM! it's all going to break loose at once. What's going to trigger it?

Think about this: All of the Arab nations, or Muslim nations, have not had very many armaments. But what's going to happen in the next ten years, if we have that long? Probably do! They're going to be buying weapons from America! They're all going to be armed to the teeth, because they don't want Iran coming in, and they need this as a bulwark against Iran. Trump spoke a lot about Iran. The biggest thing we need to worry about right now is North Korea. So, we'll see what happens there.

Daniel 11:40: "And at the time of the end, the King of the South shall push at him…" We looked at that and thought all the refugees going into Europe could be a partial fulfillment of it, but that may not be the ultimate of what we are talking about.

Something's going to have to happen in Europe of the magnitude of what happened in Saudi Arabia. Isn't it interesting that all the Israelite nations have the same problem? Stranger within your gates! So, something has to happen in Europe.

Speculation: I wonder, will this current pope die? Remember the one that retired. He had to retire because he had such a weak heart that he could no longer go. He's still alive. The unspoken reason was—but all the bankers knew—that he knew what was going on in the Vatican bank: drug money and mafia money filtering through. So, this pope dies, Francis dies. They elect a new pope.

  • What do you think the Catholic Church is going to look to for the next pope?
  • Who can restore Catholicism in Europe?
  • Will it be that the Muslims make themselves so obnoxious that they all, or the majority, must be sent back to their native country, even if they were born in a European country?

Because too many of the terrorists now are European born Muslims, who grow up, like the one in Manchester. Then get so-called radicalized. Wonder where the radicalization comes from? Remember 1-Kings 11. Would you rather meet a terrorist? or Would you rather meet God in His fury? That's a choice that's given! That's why God uses human beings to do His correcting. All through the Bible we find that.

  • Did God use Nebuchadnezzar? Yes!

He even said, 'Nebuchadnezzar, My servant'

  • Did God use Cyrus? Yes!
  • Did God use Darius? Yes!

The comment was made like in Manchester, everybody's weeping and moaning over all the girls and women that were killed. What kind of entertainment were they watching? Immoral! Same way with the shooting in Paris? What happened when the terrorists cut loose with the machineguns there? They were singing praise to Satan! No coincidence! Out of this we can also learn that God is not way off there someplace and knows nothing. He knows everything!

"…And the King of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind with chariots and with horsemen and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries and shall overflow and sweep through" (v 40).

How much time between now and then do we have? We don't know! But what's going to take place? All the Muslim nations are going to arm! They're going to have armies, so the push will be more than just refugees.

What's going to happen in Europe? They are going to build up their defenses, because Donald Trump said, 'If you want NATO, you pay your fair share and you buy your own weapons,' from us, of course. The world will be arming to the teeth while they are experiencing a lull in terrorism and look at that as kind of a peaceful thing.

What's going to happen when King Salman dies in Saudi Arabia? All those weapons? All those things? What's going to happen in Egypt? I think Egypt is going to arm to the teeth after this latest killing of 90 Coptics by the terrorists! They're going to do everything they can to try and keep track of everyone. We don't know when the mark of the beast will come in, but that may be something that will be added in the mix as well.

Then right here in Dan. 11 is when the Great Tribulation starts. This would be coming suddenly! Isn't it interesting how that history repeats from 600A.D. all the way through today the most wars have been fought between Europe and the Muslims? The greatest correction that they had was the hordes from Genghis Khan coming from the east. That slowed it down for a while.

(go to the next track)

  • God is the One Who can control your enemies
  • God is the One Who can control the terrorists

We saw that with Hadad and Solomon that God stirred up the spirit of Hadad against Solomon because of his sins.

Prov. 16 will help us understand that the way to cause terrorism to subside is to repent and do the will of God!

Proverbs 16:2: "All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirits…. [here's what you do]: …Commit your works unto the LORD… [by doing His will] …and your thoughts shall be established" (vs 2-3). The moral of the story here is if your mind is running away real carnal on you, come to God.

Verse 4: "The LORD has made all for His own purpose; yea, even the wicked for the day of evil." Think of that! This is really hard for a person walking down the street to comprehend any of this. But this is how life is.

Verse 5: "Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD; though joined hand in hand, he shall not be unpunished. By mercy and Truth iniquity is purged… [from God; mercy and Truth in your life; mercy and Truth in your thoughts] …and by the fear of the LORD men turn away from evil" (vs 5-6). Notice the summation of all of these verses 1-7.

Verse 7: "When a man's ways please the LORD… [Can you please God? Yes, if you're doing His commandments!] …He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him." Think of that!

We're talking about good and evil—what Trump is talking about—peace and security, and that's what people want. It doesn't come by human efforts alone. All your works, without the Spirit of God, will only be profitable, if they're proper, in the short term. I don't know what the equation is. I don't know how God works it out, but let's look at a couple of them in Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 5:1: "Run to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in her open places, if you can find a man, if there is one who does justice, who seeks the Truth; and I will pardon her"—all the sins of Jerusalem.

Think of this for a minute. Rev. 17 tells us of the kings of the earth and the ten kings, and so forth. It says that He puts it in their hearts to do His will!

Let's look at King Salman of Arabia. He's 81, he's seen a lot, he's experienced a lot, probably been hell around it for his family and everything, off and on. I think he really wants to do what is right. Will that help all of the Muslims? I would say as long as he lives and if whoever succeeds him continues, that will help for a time!

How about applying this to Trump and what he's doing here in America. I don't know how he's going to turn a lot of these things around, I really, really don't. It's going to be something!

Let's put everything that we've covered up this point into what we're reading here in Lev. 26. We know these are blessings and cursings here. This ties in with Deut. 28. Human nature is perverse. We all know that. When people sin and get away with it for a while, that's not a space of time that they have to say, 'I really know how to do this scam really good.' No! It's a space of time for you to recognize that you're doing wrong and to repent. If not, there may be civil consequences against you and there will be spiritual consequences because of your actions and God.

We know that in Jer. 18 God says He judges the nations and that if a nation does evil, He will punish it. If a nation does good, He will bless it. If a nation that is blessed starts doing evil, He will punish it. Then he shows that there has to be a repentance among the people within the nation. So here in we have something very important:

Leviticus 26:1: "You shall make no idols to yourselves; and you shall not set up for yourselves graven images, or a standing pillar. And you shall not set up any image of stone in your land in order to bow down to it, for I am the LORD your God." Idolatry!

Then add idols of the mind (Ezek. 14). Add into that the idols that we now have on a massive scale for the whole population, broken down into cartoons for kiddies; yes, get them initiated early. Then you have programs for those who are in childhood, programs for teenagers, programs for young adults. All of them have the evil molded into it! That's how many people are led into sin!

I don't know if I could record it, but I think it would be interesting, I might do a Church at Home on it, have all of the movie advertisements that are coming out now. What is happening to the whole world? It's being prepared for more satanism and deception! All of that gets into idolatry: idolizing people, movement, that which is evil, and so forth. Here's what's most important; get rid of the idols:

Verse 2: "You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary. I am the LORD."

Since the temple is not on the earth, how do you reverence the sanctuary in heaven above? Through repentance and love and obedience! That's how you do it.

We're going to see a lot of ifs when we go through here. Verse 3: "If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments and do them, then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. And your threshing shall reach to the vintage, and the vintage shall reach to the sowing time. And you shall eat your bread to the full and dwell in your land safely" (vs 3-5).

Now we have a contradiction, don't we? We're not dwelling in the land safely; yet, we're eating to the full.

Sidebar: Thursday a state inspector came by the house; they looked for bugs. Remember when the fruit fly was out. We have lemon trees in the front, orange trees in the back. He asked if he could check for a certain bug; that was the citrus-killing bug. Think on that! What would that do to California and Florida? Remember the Zika virus? 'Oh, well, it won't spread.' It's all 50 states! God has a way of coming back, does He not? Yes, He does!

If you do this, v 6: "And I will give peace in the land…" Do we have peace? No! We have the drug war, immigrant war, television wars, wars everywhere. The other day trying to get away from all the hatred and fighting, shouting, yelling, screaming, I turned on NatGeo Wild and it was fight to the death with every species, starting with giraffes, on down to little bugs. The whole world is in a fight and combat.

"…and you shall lie down and none shall make you afraid. And I will cause evil beasts… [that includes insects and everything] …to cease out of the land; neither shall the sword go through your land" (v 6).

This is what everyone wants. But if you would tell them only God can give this… This helps us understand that God is a whole lot closer to working with the earth and the people in the earth, and so forth, than we've even thought of.

Verse 7: "And you shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. And five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight. And your enemies shall fall by the sword in front of you" (vs 7-8).

You go back and read in the book of Joshua how they conquered the land. Every time they did what God said, God sent the angels out and destroyed the enemy. Most of the time all they had to do was go out and pick up the spoil. Look at what we have today. We'll see it here in a minute.

Verse 9: "For I will have respect to you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish My covenant with you. And you shall eat of the old provision, and clear away the old because of the new. And I will set My tabernacle among you. And My soul shall not abhor you…. [today, spirit is in us] …And I will walk among you and will be your God, and you shall be My people" (vs 9-12). Isn't that what everyone wants? That's what God wants!

I did some time ago, not too long ago, for Church at Home. We just updated it. Like I said, we're updating all the Church at Home to have more modern and greater digital with it, plus adding and so forth. On one of them, I think it was #2, that I said on the series, Why Doesn't God Help Us? that it was because the pastors and ministers say you don't have to keep the Law. We've got a clip of a minister in there saying that Christians do not have to keep any of the laws of the Old Testament. That's what's wrong with us today.

Verse 13: "I am the LORD your God Who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt from being their bondmen. And I have broken the bonds of your yoke, and made you go upright. But if…" (vs 13-14).

Isn't it interesting, what did Trump say? What did he present to all of them there? Choices! If you do this; you have to chose!

Verse 14: "But if you will not hearken to Me… [hearken is a special word which means listen to obey and do'] …and will not do all these commandments, and if you shall despise My statutes, or if your soul hates My judgments, so that you will not do all My commandments, so that you break My covenant" (vs 14-15).

God never breaks His covenant. But in His covenant is always contained blessings and cursings. Whether for blessing, God is keeping His covenant. Whether for cursing, God is keeping His covenant. But people are the ones who break the covenant when they go against God.

Verse 16: "I will also do this to you: I…"—God says. Like I explained in Why Doesn't God Help Us?, the blessings and cursings are just like the tides of the ocean. They come every day and they go every day—high tide, low tide. The waves keep coming in.

You can go 20-miles over here to Monterey Bay, climb up over a sand dune, run down on the beach, and you can see the Pacific Ocean, and the waves are coming in. You can look out on the horizon of the ocean and if you have good vision you can see the roundness of the earth out there—just barely. God said He made it all! That's something.

Verse 17: "And I will set My face against you… [there's a warning] … and you shall be slain before your enemies. They that hate you shall reign over you.… [Did we have that? Is it hard to get rid of? Yes, indeed!] …And you shall flee when none pursues you."

What happened when that explosion went off in Manchester? Everybody started running! No one was chasing them, but they were afraid for their lives.

  • Who set off the bomb? One man!
  • Were they fleeing from their enemy? Yes!
  • How many? One!

Verse 18: "And if you will not yet, for all this, hearken to Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. And I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your heaven like iron and your earth like bronze…. [look at the weather we have] …And your strength shall be spent in vain, for your land shall not yield its increase, neither shall the trees of the field yield their fruits" (vs 18-20). That will be happening.

Even the Sunday-keeping ministers need to get up there and tell people to repent. Every single one of those Sunday-keeping ministers know, everyone understands that the Sabbath is the Sabbath of God. If you ask them, they will tell you.

How much would happen to help correct the situation if the Protestant ministers in mass began repenting of Sunday-keeping and starting teaching the people on the Sabbath? What would that do for God's reacting to our enemies? Reacting to the sin within?

Sidebar on sin and being led into sin: There are now on one website, over 2-million college-graduate women who are paying back their college bill by being prostitutes. You force them into a situation; give them something that's impossible to pay, and you cause more sin. That startled me! When I heard that it startled me! There has to be

  • a lot of preaching of Truth
  • a lot of condemning of sin
  • a lot of showing what is right
  • a lot of helping people to understand what they need to do

How can they preach repentance when they don't tell them to keep the Law? They have to repent first! There is a point where it comes that there can be no turning back. I don't know what's going to happen. Is this going to be a temporary thing with what's happening in the government and in the world with Trump, and so forth? Let's hope so! We don't wish things to get worse, but those who are in charge have to start doing things right:

  • government
  • religion
  • education
  • entertainment

Imagine what would happen to this society if everybody started keeping the Sabbath. No more Friday night basketball games, football games, hockey games, nightclubbing, sexting, and all of this. That would bring an awful lot of peace. That would bring an awful lot of health.

Look at people who are so despondent today that 50,000 a year are dying from the opioids. There are terrible things going on.

Verse 21: "And if you walk contrary to Me and will not hearken to Me, I will bring seven times more plagues on you according to your sins. I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall bereave you. And I will destroy your livestock, and make you few. And your highways shall be deserted" (vs 21-22).

We have a lot of highways. How can you make the highways deserted? An e-bomb (EMP) knock out all the electricity. Nobody's going anywhere. Think how helpless we are. They could cut off the electricity with one of those e-bombs over vast areas of the United States. By the way, North Korea has two satellites just at the right altitude to do it.

So, we look around and we see all of these things, but we really don't see the big picture. What God is doing here, He's saying, 'Here's the big picture.'

What's going to happen? There's a senator who wrote a book, The Vanishing American Adult by Ben Sasse. He wrote a book about that we've got a generation of educated idiots. They don't know anything and they won't listen. You can't even reason with them.

Imagine: How is that going to be turned around? And if so, how do you do it? You're not even talking about understanding about God, you're trying to help them in a 20-25-year-old body realize that they're brains are educated to 12-year-old status. The human mind was made to be educated, to be trained, to learn, to grow, through the whole lifelong. Look what we've done. That's all part of it!

Amos 4 is the condemnation and Amos 5 is the solution. Here's what God says after bringing up to them all of the things that they have done wrong. He says, beginning of His punishments here:

Amos 4:6: "'And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and lack of bread in all your places, yet, [#1]you have not returned to Me,' says the LORD….. [the key is return to God] …'And I have also withheld the rain from you… [we lived through five years of drought] …when there were yet three months to the harvest. And I caused rain to fall on one city and caused it not to rain on another city; one field was rained on, and the field on which it did not rain dried up. So, two or three cities wandered to one city to drink water, but they were not satisfied; [#2]yet, you have not returned to Me,' says the LORD. 'I have stricken you with blasting and mildew. When your gardens and your vineyards, and your fig trees, and your olive trees increased, the creeping locust devoured them; [#3]yet, you have not returned to Me,' says the LORD" (vs 6-9). Third time! This is quite amazing!

This is what it is. If there's going to be any turning around, and let's just be very frank about it, it also has to apply to the Church of God. Return to God the way He wants it!

Verse 10: "I have sent the plague among you after the manner of Egypt…" Look how many sicknesses and diseases we have today.

Dolores every once in a while tells me, 'I have to turn off the TV because all they have are prescription ads.' How if you don't take it, you're going to die and if you do take it, you will probably die. Check with your doctor. No one says to repent to God! They have all of these fertility ads for men and for women. Then they wonder why there's so much perversion in the land.

Then you go to turn on the news and all of it is a litany of things that have happened. So, you turn it off and pick up the Bible and read it. You have to go to the New Testament and read some of those Scriptures that are inspiring because you're so depressed listening to all the news and everything that goes on.

Verse 10: "'I have sent the plague among you after the manner of Egypt; I have slain your young men with the sword, and have taken away your horses. And I have made the stench of your camps to come up into your nostrils; [#4]yet, you have not returned to Me,' says the LORD. 'I have overthrown some among you as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah…'" (vs 10-11).

I think all those in the twin towers thought it was the same thing, burning with fire. What's going to happen? Kim Jong-un is not going to be talked out of anything. If someone comes up with the idea, 'Let's kill him,' what will his successor do? The enemy is only the reflection of God's coming punishment because you won't come to Him.

Who would have thought? Think about it. That one man! Now he's overweight because he went to school in Switzerland and he got hooked on Swiss cheese, so they import lots of Swiss cheese. He cuts his own hair and it looks like he cuts his own hair. How can anyone get into his mind to change his mind?

  • The Chinese? No, they like it! It keeps America on edge!
  • Russia? No, he's a good communist ally!
  • Japan? No!
  • South Korea? No!
  • Trump? Don't know!

But think about that, greatest nation on earth threatened by the least nation on earth. If that is not a setup by God…
"'…[#5]yet, you have not returned to Me,' says the LORD. 'Therefore, I will do this to you, O Israel…'" (vs 11-12). I thought about this when Trump was there with all of the NATO. 80% of them were Israelite nations and acting like dim-witted Israelite nations.

Verse 12: "Therefore, I will do this to you, O Israel; and because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel!" That's with all the things that are going to be coming down.

Verse 13: "For lo, He forms the mountains and creates the wind, and declares to man what his thought is. He who makes the morning darkness, and treads upon the high places of the earth—the LORD, the God of hosts, is His name." Everywhere you go in the Bible where God pronounces all of these things, He also gives mercy and an extended hand for repentance.

Amos 5:1: "Hear this word which I take up against you, even a lamentation, O house of Israel. The virgin of Israel has fallen; she shall rise no more; she lies forsaken on her land. There is none to raise her up" (vs 1-2).

  • Didn't this happen to the ten tribes of Israel?
  • Didn't it happen to the Jews twice?

You see all these programs about how the Samaritans came and conquered the land, and so forth. Then you see destruction of the temple in 585B.C. and then in 70A.D. Hardly a word that that was the judgment of God because of sin.

The king asked Jeremiah secretly to come and see him. 'What should I do?' Remember what happened? If you surrender to Nebuchadnezzar, I will not destroy the city or the temple! But he didn't do it. Gone!

In the days of Christ, if you would have accepted Jesus as the true Messiah… They didn't! Gone!

Verse 4: "For thus says the LORD to the house of Israel, [#1]'Seek Me, and you shall live.'"

Verse 5: "But do not seek Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and do not pass to Beersheba; for Gilgal shall surely go into exile, and Bethel shall come to nothing. [#2]Seek the LORD and you shall live, lest He break out like a fire on the house of Joseph…" (vs 5-6).

Who is the house of Joseph? Ephraim and Manasseh! Where are they today? U.K. and America! I'm very fearful for the U.K., because they will not fight. Can you imagine policemen that do not even have guns? They have 83 Sharia areas in the U.K.! Will they surrender and not resist when the pressure comes and pay the tribute, rather than be killed? I don't know, but that's something I think about. When I saw that in Manchester I thought, boy oh boy, something.

Verse 7: "'You who turn judgment to wormwood and leave off righteousness in the earth!' [#3]Seek Him Who created the Pleiades and Orion, and Who turned the deep darkness into the morning, and Him Who darkened the day into night. [#4]Seek Him Who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out on the face of the earth—the LORD is His name" (vs 7-8).

Verse 10: "They hate him who rebukes in the gate… [that's the one who says you're doing wrong] …and they despise him who speaks uprightly." That's why they hate Trump. That's why they hate being preached to.

What does it say there in Isa. 30? It says speak to us smooth things! 'No, no, don't give us any correction. We just like positive things, smooth things. Don't point out our sins. Don't point out what is wrong. We like it the way it is.'

Verse 11: "Therefore—because of your trampling upon the poor, and because you take tribute of grain from him—though you have built houses of carved stone, you shall not dwell in them; though you have planted desirable vineyards, you shall not drink wine from them, for I know your many transgressions and your many sins. They afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate" (vs 11-12)—and the swamp is not drained! A little modern politics.

Verse 13: "Therefore, the prudent shall keep silent in that time; for it is an evil time. [#5]Seek good and not evil…" (vs 13-14). Did we read that with what Trump said? Yes, we did.

"…that you may live; and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as you have spoken. Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate. It may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph" (vs 14-15).

God does not delight in the death of the wicked. He wants the wicked to turn. All of these things are 'return to Me.' If we did that, we would see our enemies be at peace with us, because who can change their mind?

  • Can we change their mind by spying? No!
  • Can we tap their phones and change their mind? No!
  • Can we preach to them ourselves and tell them to stop? No!

But if we listen to God and come to God, He can change their minds. Like we read there in

Proverbs 16:7: "When a man's ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him." We may have peace for a short time. Some of these things may take hold for a short time, but it will not happen unless there is repentance!

Of course, I think God is doing this as a witness for the whole nation, the whole world, all of the Muslim world. Let's see what happens. Maybe a lot of us will be in our place of safety when it comes around. That's enough hellfire and brimstone for one day!
