Greetings, everyone! Welcome to Sabbath services!

We are in the midst of a generational change such as the Church has not experienced in a long time. We need to keep that in mind.

{part left out of transcript—resumes at 10:29 of the audio}

Let's see what Jesus commanded. We know that Jesus told the apostles, 'Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all nations, making disciples of all nations, teaching them everything I have commanded you, and baptize them into the name of the Father and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit. That's not trinitarian! I am with you even unto the end of the age!'

We're not at the end of the age, yet, but we're getting closer and closer. So far, every Christian who has been faithful [to the end], who is going to be in the first resurrection, have died. God has such a great work. He is going to surprise this world! They are going to be absolutely flabbergasted, and it's going to be unreal to them! When the resurrection takes place and the return of Christ comes, they are literally going to be deceived into thinking that this is the invasion from outer space by aliens!

You've heard me say this before, and truly that is a correct statement. God the Father and Jesus Christ are aliens to the people of the world. Likewise with the angels of God and with us!

How many people in the world know that we have a meeting here, and that God the Father and Jesus Christ are here with us, and we're all going to learn of God and be instructed of what He wants us to have out of His Word? They've never even heard of us!

So, it is true that we are the stealth underground for the coming Kingdom of God! We are being trained in the right way. Think about how much when the Church actually began that the disciples and apostles didn't know! Remember, the Gospel they preached, and then wrote down for us, came from the Old Testament.

Think about where that puts the Protestants and Catholics. Catholics say they can preach the Gospel without the Bible. Their gospel, that's true! God's Gospel, impossible! Protestants say that it's all fulfilled. They can give people a lot of nice things on how to live a better life, but God wants the mind converted, not just living a better life in the world. Yes, we're to be better people in the world, absolutely! But the conversion of the mind is a lifelong process!

Let's see what Jesus told them when they wanted to know when the Kingdom would come. 'Oh boy, He's back to life and He's going to bring the Kingdom!'

Acts 1:7: "And He said to them, 'It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has placed in His own authority.'" How much has God done down through the centuries and time that we know nothing about?

Verse 8: "But you yourselves shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses…"

This is a statement of fact and a prophecy for the future. So, when you're studying the Bible, you look at some of these things where it is a statement of fact, but yet, also a prophecy for the future.

"…both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and unto the ends of the earth" (v 8). If you have a globe at home, look at that.

You know that the apostles never got there. They went a lot farther than we have supposed, but they never got there. This is a prophecy that you tie to Matt. 28 and it takes you to the end of the age!

It's going to be accomplished in ways that even those of us 20 years ago never even thought could happen. That is all the digital Bibles that are out there. Think of that! So, there are more Bibles—physical and digital—than at any time in the history of the world! And more readily available to any person right in the palm of his or her hand.

That means that they don't have an excuse! 'Lord, I never knew.' Did you have a smart phone? 'Oh yes, I had a smart phone.' Did you have a Bible on it? 'Oh yes!' Did you read it? Did you listen to it? 'Well, not exactly!'

When you have the Bible, IF you don't read it and study it, that's not God's fault! He's given it to us for us to exercise our mind, our heart, our thoughts and our lives—which He has given to us made in His image—and He expects us to use them. He will bless us and give us the understanding we need through His Spirit.

Not all at once! I'm still learning! The Word of God is layered, so that's why when you study and restudy and go over it, what happens? You learn something you never thought of before!

Now then, we are in a generational change! We have to get out and do things, publish things and let God open the door and bless what is going to happen.

John 6:44: "No one…"—because God's plan is so important, so good and so great that no man is going to say, 'God, I'm so good, I came to You and look at me, I found You myself!' NO ONE!

Verse 44: "No one can come to Me unless the Father…"

I want you to think bout your conversion, your life, some of the things that you're struggling with and growing and overcoming, because we're living in, as a matter of fact, one of the worst ages in the world because of:

  • all of the satanic things
  • all of the modern things
  • all of the sex morays that destroying everything

And you go on churchathome.org and I took to task the Roman Catholic Church over the latest pedophilia in Pennsylvania. All they have are those who came forward; remember that, which is probably less than 20%!

So, everybody says they're going to reform it. I said that you can never reform the system. The only way it could be is if it starts with the pope and all the cardinals, archbishops, and priest repent in sackcloth and ashes!

The first order of the pope would be: every priest must be married! That's the first step. The second step is the pope would need to order the destruction of St. Peter's Basilica, and every cross and idol in every temple and cathedral!

The next step is that they must renounce Sunday-worship, holiday-worship and keep the Sabbath and Holy Days of God! That's the only way it can be reformed; no other way!

So, you can see, these sanctimonious men and women and priests talk about it on the news how to reform it. 'We're going to do this and that and the other thing.' NO! They take young men and women and make them take a celibacy vow—which is contrary to the Word of God and the creation of God—and expect them to have some sort of sex life that is not perverted??? Impossible!

Let them get married and let them have children, then maybe they'll be qualified to counsel people about husband/wife relations, about how to rear children. Sexually, all the priests are still kids in their activities! Do you understand what I'm saying. So, we've got a lot to do!

Projects, etc.
Websites:

  • truthofgod.org
  • churchathome.org
  • afaithfulversion.org
  • we have videos
  • we have the Spanish website: laverdaddedios.org

In June we had 245,000 visits and nearly 100,000 with Church at Home. That's down because of all of the sanctimonious liberal jerks that run all of the social media. They're gradually putting the screws down. We ask God to take care if; He can handle it! Be sure of one thing, He isn't going to go to court to have it changed.

To give you an indication of how many people are really interested, and how we're helping people just with the websites. The average length of time in June concerning truthofgod.org was: 15 minutes! As Randy will tell you, that's a long time.

There are people out there searching and looking, and they are comparing. I've had people who send me an e-mail for the first time and say, 'I've been comparing all the Churches of God.' Well, we're glad that all the Churches of God are doing what they're doing. But there are some of them that don't have simple doctrines correct, yet! So, this is one part that we have to do, that we are doing!

We also have the Proverbs for the children and teens. We have new book coming out written by our editor Philip Neal: Good Sense: Proverbs for Teens (112 pages).

In order to reach out to new people, Philip Neal has created 'flash ads' for websites: michaelesavage.com  The ad I would like to put on but I don't think he will allow it: What Michael Savage does to the political establishment, Church At Home does to the religious establishment  The other one is for a Christian News Organization. These 'flash ads' will come up right on their site. If they want anything beyond that, they just click.

Here's one for America and Britain: Two Nations that Changed the World by Philip Neal

America is young nation with an ancient past. America is identified in ancient writings by it's ancestral name, tracing its history by some 4,000 years. Intrigued? Ask for this free book and you'll never look at America the same again!

There are several versions of that! Here's one for Church at Home that we're going to put on Michael Savage's website. If you know anything about Michael Savage, he's kind of a real religious guy himself. He has written a book about God and politics and things like this. So, we'll see where something like this goes:

In religion is relevance is everything. According to research, millions of church goers have come to view modern Christianity as irrelevant when it comes to the challenges of real life.

That's true!

Sidebar: I bought a book called Inside the Mind of an Atheist by Anthony DeStefano. If we're going to preach to this generation, we have got to understand who we're preaching to, and leave it up to God to deal in their lives, because 'none can come to Christ unless the Father draws them.'

John 6:45: "It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught by God.'…." Think about that for a minute! All of us have to read and study:

  • How do we learn?
  • Who made our mind?
  • Who gave us the abilities?
  • God did!
  • Who opens our mind?

Sidebar: A man who visited here has a group in Naples, Florida, who are separate and independent from us. But they just discovered us recently. They use all of our material now. They checked out other Churches of God and checked out the Bible and found that those other Churches of God are deficient. So, he told me—I talked to him for about two hours—that when I gave the sermon on Pentecost about the resurrection and the Sea of Glass, it was a light—BING!—that came on! Not only with him, but with everyone!

  • Who did that?
  • Who caused that?
  • God did!

That's why we need not get all wrapped up in how great people are, how great this man is, or the other one is, and they exalt themselves near up near to God or even greater than God. Know that their day is coming! God gives them a space of repentance, but it's coming!

(back to the ad for the Michael Savage website):

In religion is relevance is everything.

That's true, we have to make it relevant to today:

  • to the individual
  • to what each one thinks
  • what they experience
  • what they're going through

According to research, millions of church goers have come to view modern Christianity as irrelevant when it comes to the challenges of real life.

Complacency and negligence, watered-down teachings and emphasis on pop culture, they've had enough! They're look for more, much more, how about you? Find what you've been missing! Learn more here! (click churchathome.org)

Those are some of the things we're going to be doing. Referring to brochures that we just had made up and the backside is so it can be mailed:

Christian Biblical Church of God: Restoring Original Christianity for Today

Then at the bottom, you can go to truthofgod.org  On the inside it gives us the ability to show that we are more than just a website or two or three. Again, Phil Neal worked these all up. He's good! When we took Phil on as editor, we didn't know that he had a lot of experience in writing ads.

Then here's a little bit about me, and we hope this will help them look. This is part of preaching the Gospel to all the world, the part that we're responsible for. There are many other who are responsible for doing wherever they are, that's fine.

In The New Testament in It's Original Order, A Faithful Version {no longer in print but can be found online at truthofgod.org} there's an appendix about where Peter was actually buried, and his tomb was never in Rome, because he never went there: Appendix Q: Peter's Tomb Recently Discovered in Jerusalem

We have nine segments on Church at Home (churchathome.org) showing that Peter was never ever in Rome: Was Peter Ever in Rome? He could not have been. The first thing you need to understand, and any Catholic needs to know, challenge them! You can ask them what they think about the Catholic Church. Work it around to say:

  • Do you think that everything they do there is true?
  • How many lies do they preach?

Then say: The Bible says that God is a God of Truth!

  • Can you worship the God of Truth with lies?
  • Of course not!

You couldn't even get away with telling your parents why you did something when you lied to them and make it stick. They always found out.

In the New Testament there's an article there based on this book, Gli Scavi del Dominus Flevit (Appendix Q)

I recently got book called The Fisherman's Tomb: the True Story of the Vatican's Secret Search by John O'Neill, a faithful Catholic, telling about the secret search for Peter's bones underneath St. Peter's Basilica. They found them before, but one of them turned out to be a woman's bones. They have never found Peter's bones. O'Neill shows that they have spent hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars looking for the bones of Peter underneath St. Peter's Basilica.

So, I read the book! No proof! Nothing! But they just got to have the bones of Peter at St. Peter's Basilica! Remember: a big lie told often enough, long enough, people will believe it! But it's never true!

Anyway, there was an archeological excavation in this graveyard on the Mt. of Olives, and it was a Christian cemetery. {note DVD: The Temple Mount} Come down  into the Kidron Valley and then up beyond that, that's the Mt. of Olives. There was a very big Christian burial ground. There's a little caverns there and it shows all the burial caves of the Christians on the Mt. of Olives. Why would they go to the Mt. of Olives? Because that's where Christ left the earth! They wanted to be the first ones to go up when Christ returns, because He's returning to the Mt. of Olives.

It's kind of like the one at the top where you see six graves in a little cavern, they found a tomb in one of those little places and here was an ossuary where they always write the name of the bones they find in the ossuary. What they do is put people into cave-like things, and after ten years when all the flesh is gone, they take the bones and put them into an ossuary. They write on the ossuary whose bones these are.

They found these right close to each other, within 12 feet: Mary, Martha, Lazarus and Simon the son of Jonah. Where did Peter last write from? Babylon! So, the supposition is that he came back to Jerusalem just when the rebellion was really getting worked up against the Romans, and he died there and was buried there, right along side Martha, Mary and Lazarus on the Mt. of Olives. Clear! Definitive!

I don't know what to do with it, but I got the book and I can't read Italian. But I think that this is so important that perhaps that it would be well worthwhile to find the section in the book about Peter's tomb, and have that translated directly into English.

This may be one of the last remaining books about it. But I think it's important to get it out there that Peter was never in Rome, never buried in Rome, and the whole thing of the Catholic Church is nothing but a lie from top to bottom!

(go to the next track)

When many of us first came into the Church of God, we heard a statement: The true Gospel has not been preached in 1800 years! That has turned out not to be true.

As a matter of fact, a whole lot more has been done with the Churches of God down through history than we have ever imagined. This year at the Feast of Tabernacles in Blanchard, Idaho, John Guenther—who is a descendant of the people of the Churches of God in the Piedmonts—has put together a history of the Church from 100A.D. to 1600A.D. He's going to present it up in Blanchard. We're going to have it videoed and he has a lot of material that he has worked on.

So, just like us, if someone what writing a story about events happing in Pasadena today, this event—one of the most important taking place—would not even be known. So, always remember that the victor writes the history, but God knows the truth!

I'm, going to read just a little bit here, because John Guenther will talk about what they went through. How many times have you thought that being a Christian is pretty tough? It is!

We're confronted with different things that they weren't confronted with. We're confronted with more mental things and visual things today than at any time in the history of the world. So, it's harder for us to keep our minds focused so that we don't let the world in. The world is there everywhere! Back then they didn't have it; they had other things, different trials. But:

  • they still had the Spirit of God
  • they still had the love of God
  • they still had the knowledge of God
  • they still had the Word of God

That's what's important to remember!

from John Guenther:

Joy mingled with tears, the Spirit of God works within us.

Excerpts from the Church of God, Pergamos and Thyatira, taken from the Martyrs Mirror, published 1632. PDF:{http://www.homecomers.org/mirror/download.htm}

These records, some written by persecutors permitting some testimonies, while at the same time destroying their printed works, their lives and property, calling them ignorant and boorish, but warring against their seditious ways.

Because they had to go against the Catholic church! John is writing about the time 1155A.D. Have you ever heard of the Valduce who had the Bible translated into old Latin, also into the Valemount Bible. They were busy working, just like we are busy working today, and teaching and preaching.

Accused as non-Scriptural groups and holding to worldly doctrines, seemed an unorganized and leaderless.

Catholics says that they have the rights for the Scriptures; that they have the right for the Bible. That's why they preached in Latin only, and that's how they kept everybody in ignorance. You didn't have books, Bibles, cell phones, websites…

Just to show you how quickly you can find information, during the intermission, Randy Vild got online and took the name of the book and found that the University of Michigan has an English translation of part one and part two. That will be interesting to see what that is. He got in just seconds! But how did they have to produce books then? Write every single letter!

The papacy, baffled by a people willing to die joyfully, and patient without vengeance, losing all: life, family, possessions and worldly place.

They were following exactly what Jesus told them to do. This is why most of them were called anti-baptists. That means be baptized again because the Roman Catholic Church has infant baptism.

Luke 14:25: "And great multitudes were going with Him; and He turned and said to them…"

I want you to think about why those in the Church of God from that time until this are the few in number, and are going to be in the first resurrection, and are the firstfruits; because now is not the time to call and convert the multitudes.

Remember what Jesus said, 'They've been blinded lest they would understand with the heart, see with their eyes and I would convert them (Matt. 13). Why would Jesus not want them converted? Kind of the opposite of Protestant teaching! Jesus knows that it has to be the firstfruits first! He also knows that people are not willing to love and obey God. That's why one of the greatest keys of understanding the plan of God is the second resurrection!

Even though it's in the Old Testament in Ezek. 37, it could not have been understood until Rev. 20 were written, which compares the first resurrection to the 'rest of the dead live not again until the thousand years are finished.'

When you read that God wants all saved, you have to include the second resurrection where they will have a chance.

Here's what Jesus told them, v 26: "If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father, and mother…"—meaning love God more; and if you love God more, then your family will take it as hate. 'Don't you love me?' Of course I love you! 'Then why would you do these things? Why don't you come over on Christmas and be with all the grandchildren and things like this?' Because that's pagan! That's against God! 'You hate us!'

"…hate his father, and mother and wife, and children, and brothers and sisters, and, in addition, his own life also…" (v 26). He needs to see the futility of human nature!

No one can understand the depths of human nature without the Spirit of God! It's impossible!

"…he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not carry his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple" (vs 26-27). So, whatever our cross was, is or going to be, that's what we carry. Think about what it was for those down through time in the Israel of the Alps (using the broader term). They were chased from pillar to post.

Verse 28: "For which one of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has sufficient for its completion; lest perhaps, after he has laid its foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, 'This man began to build, and was not able to finish'? Or what king, when he goes out to engage another king in war, does not first sit down and take counsel, whether he will be able with ten thousand to meet him who is coming against him with twenty thousand? But if not, while his enemy is still far off, he sends ambassadors and desires the terms for peace" (vs 28-32).

That's what we do with God. We come to God on His terms! Conditions of peace with Him!

Verse 33—this is hard for us today because we have so many things: "In the same way also, each one of you who does not forsake all that he possesses cannot be My disciple." Here they are in 1155A.D.

The churches of God people facing numerous troubles, persecutions, threats, trials, tortures and deaths throughout its history did not revile in return.

Like our Master and Brother with the Spirit of God! As James says, 'Let patience have its perfect work.'

For they welcomed…

That's quite different from us today; we're all complainers! I include myself in that, too.

…the suffering, but not without bitter tears according to the desire of the Father. Beset by Babylon, by their on temptations and earthly duties, be ripped of even the earthly bond of wedding covenant and the fruit of the womb, their very own children.

It's going to be interesting to see when we get the full history of it. Then Guenther gives them excerpts of how they willingly went to the slaughter.

Remember some of the things that we read that Paul went through. By the time that he got to be the age that he was, he was in pretty miserable shape.

John 16:1: "I have spoken these things to you so that you will not be offended…. [or out the Church] …They shall cast you out of the synagogues; furthermore, the time is coming that everyone who kills you will think that he is rendering service to God" (vs 1-2)—because everything will be upside down and backward!

  • These people braved it!
  • They embraced it!
  • They sang hymns on the way to the stake!

When they got to the stake, they were put into the cocoon, and the cocoon is all of the wood that is placed around them, because they were to be burned. First they had to rope through the hangman, pull it, and kill them, then light the fire.

They were thinking they were doing God good. Just exactly like Jesus said here. So, here's what a lot of them did, and these are some of the Scriptures that they had and went through and lived by:

Matthew 10:16: "Behold, I am sending you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore, be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. But beware of men; for they will deliver you up to councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; and you shall also be brought before governors and kings for My sake, for a witness to them and to the Gentiles. Now, when they deliver you up, do not be anxious about how or what you should speak; for in that hour it shall be given to you what you shall speak" (vs 16-19).

That's how they were able to endure; God gave them, at the time they needed it!

Verse 20: "For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father that speaks in you." They told them:

  • we will not bow down to the trinity
  • we will not bow down to the cross
  • we will not bow down to the pope
  • we reject the authority of the pope
  • we reject the teachings of infant baptism
  • we reject Sunday-keeping
  • we reject holiday-keeping

We keep the Holy Days and the Sabbath! Now then, here's how bad it gets, and it does get this way:

Verse 21: "Then brother will deliver up brother to death; and the father, the child; and children will rise up against their parents and have them put to death. And you shall be hated by all for My name's sake; but the one who endures to the end, that one shall be saved. But when they persecute you in this city, escape into another…" (vs 21-23).

John Guenther said that was the story of his ancestors. Persecution starts up, everybody packed up and got out—go! Many of the true believers were killed, but many of them also escaped. Many of those who went back into Sunday-keeping, but keeping some of the teachings of the Truth, they ended up being the ones who suffered great martyrdom, as well.

"…for truly I say to you, in no way shall you have completed witnessing to the cities of Israel until the Son of man has come" (v 23). That is also to the world, because Jesus said it in another place.

Verse 24: "A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is sufficient for the disciple that he become as his teacher, and the servant as his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call those of his household? Therefore, do not fear them because there is nothing covered that shall not be uncovered, and nothing hidden that shall not be known. What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, proclaim upon the housetops. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body, but do not have power to destroy the life; rather, fear Him Who has the power to destroy bothlife and body in Gehenna" (vs 24-28).

That's what these people followed! It's something! It's amazing what they went through!

This is when they were changing the Passover. Always remember that the Passover is the key most important thing of all! Without the Passover, you cannot be in covenant with God—period!

What does Satan strike at? The Passover! That's why we have The Christian Passover book, 500 pages; every page is needed because there are so many attacks against it: Jewish, Catholic, Protestant and even Churches of God don't understand certain things.

Committing fornication means to involve yourself in teachings contrary to the Bible! This is the Church of God! So, they had great difficulties.

The Church of Pergamos

Revelation 2:15: "Moreover, you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate." The beginning of the hierarchy!

Verse 16: "Repent! For if you do not repent, I will come to you quickly, and will make war against them with the sword of My mouth. The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches…." (vs 15-17). This is over a period of Time!

Not all of those in the Churches of God got involved in it. Many of them fled and went to different areas. John Guenther's family came from the Alps into Saxony, Germany, and then migrated over into Lithuania and then over to Canada, all because of persecution that they took in trying to follow the Bible that the Catholics and the Lutherans and so forth brought against them.

You don't find that written in any history book when you go to school.

The Church of Thyatira

This church was perhaps the most polluted with false doctrine. We see some of that today. Has there been a shift from Sabbath to Sunday? Some of them still saying that they are God's people. Perhaps, perhaps not!

Verse 18: "And to the angel of the Church in Thyatira write: 'These things says the Son of God, He Who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet are like fine brass. I know your works, and love, and service, and faith, and your endurance, and your works; and the last are more than the first'" (vs 18-19). I think that does describe very aptly the SDA church!

Let's see what they got involved in. Remember, like everything else, those in any congregation of God anywhere at any age followed the instructions of 1-Tim. 6:3, and that's why we're here.

1-Timothy 6:3: "If anyone teaches any different doctrine, and does not adhere to sound words, even those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the doctrine that is according to Godliness

Verse 5: "…From such withdraw yourself." There were always those as well.

What we find is that the main emphasis as an era coming down through history, but also with the other aspects of the other seven churches in different smaller groups still scattered, moving and getting away from persecution.

There's one group that call themselves The Apostolics, 'we only follow the teachings of the apostles.' Where did they get that? They had it written down! This irritated the Catholic Church. They persecuted them and a lot of them moved on. What did they take with them? The writings of the Bible! It says that 'when they persecute you in this city, go to another one. If they come after you there, go to another one.'

So, they were without a lot of things. Think about us today. You wake up in the morning and it's really cold and your thermostat is broken, you are really not happy! How many of them had to go to bed at night sleeping on the ground with just a blanket, and thankful to God that their lives were spared. We need to think about those things! That's why it's important while we have all of these things so that:

  • we can study
  • we can learn
  • we can grow in grace and knowledge
  • we can associate together and fellowship together
  • we can pray for one another
  • we can help one another
  • we can do these things

Yes, we're going to have troubles. Yes, at this time with a shift in the generation, God is the One Who has to do the calling, but we have to do the preaching. God is the One Who has to teach them, but we are the ones who have to publish. So, if we do that, God will use it!

When John finished the book of Revelation, he did the greatest work of his ministry, but he died. Likewise with us.

We now have a hundred of the Transcript Books. So many, it's hard to keep up with keeping the list accurate. Why do we have it? For the coming generation! They are not going to have the time, and there won't be the libraries and a lot of these things won't be available. I don't know how they're going to find a lot of these things even online. It's possible.

They need these things! So, we've got over a hundred Transcript Books, not counting the pamphlets and so forth. We need to have that, because when the question comes up, we don't send them a little letter saying 'here's your answer' and hope that it's enough. We send them a booklet, or a book.

  • What do you want to know about the Passover? We'll send everything about the Passover! You better be willing to read it!
  • Why is the book so thick? Because there are so many people against the true Passover of God!
  • Why is it important to read? Because you can't be in covenant with God unless you keep the Passover the way Christ said!

So, here's Thyatira, Revelation 2:20: "But I have a few things against you, because you allow the woman Jezebel…" That identifies it; the system of Baal. Who is the leading saint? Mary the mother of God! The Roman Catholic Church considers itself a woman anyway.

"…who calls herself a prophetess…" (v 20). I'm the only one from God and no one else. You read that in their writings. Salvation is only through the hierarchical Roman Catholic Church and there is no other salvation. If you don't belong to the hierarchical Roman Catholic Church, you will burn in hell forever! That's what they teach! Maybe not quite as strong right now, but that's what they teach!

"…to teach and to seduce My servants into committing fornication and eating things sacrificed to idols" (v 20).

Notice how bad it was, and this was really bad! A lot of those in that era really suffered a lot of things, partly because of the martyrdom that they went through, but partly because they compromised with God's doctrine. If they would have migrated on, they probably would have suffered those things exactly in the same way.

Verse 21: "And I gave her time to repent of her fornication, but she did not repent." The Council of Trent was the council of the Roman Catholic Church to come against the Reformation.

I think that when we get all the material from John Guenther, we're going to find that the Protestants came out of the Churches of God and their teachings. Amazing!

The Council of Trent was to determine what to do with the mass amount of the Protestants. There were a lot of them! King Henry VIII rejected the Roman Catholic Church and setup his own church: The Church of England!

Why did he do that? He read the book written by William Tyndale: Obedience of a Christian Man. Have you read that! Find it at truthofgod.org

Guess who gave it to him? Anne Boleyn, his wife! Guess where Anne Boleyn studied? In the lowlands, in the common community, because there were many common communities that had the Word of God!

The Word of God came from the Churches of God, and the Protestants came from the communities. She studied there and that's why she knew a lot about the Bible. They were independent groups who studied the Bible and the Roman Catholic Church couldn't stop them.

Where did William Tyndale finish the Bible? On the continent! He was finally martyred on October 1536, and it happened to be on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles. God's hand has been in so many things, we just don't know how much God has been doing. That's on little story of one little thing that is profound in history, but something most people don't even know anything about.

Back to the Council of Trent: They had within the Council of Trent those Catholics who agreed with the Protestants: Sola Scriptura! They actually wanted the Catholic Church to get rid of all of the statues and idols, and they wanted to return to the Scriptures and keep the Sabbath.

  • What happened to them?
  • Why was it never done?

God said, 'I gave her a chance to repent!' The Council of Trent was that chance! Read Rome's Challenge to the Protestants and Cardinal Gibbons tells you so when he answered back to the Sabbath-keepers who at that time were known as Seventh Day Adventists. He told the Protestants that when they wanted to close down the World's Fair because Sunday was the day of the Bible for worship, that it isn't! Gibbons said that 'sola scriptura' means that you must be keeping the Sabbath instead of Sunday. Sunday is a Catholic institution, instituted by us, and if you want to get right with God, you forsake 'sola scriptura' and come and stand on Catholic ground.

So, the Council of Trent was confronted with this decision what to do with Sabbath/Sunday worship. 'sola scriptura' is all just a Scripture. However, the Protestants kept Sunday, which means they were not true to 'sola scriptura.' They kept Sunday, and that means they believed in the traditions of the Catholic Church, beginning with Sunday, though they said that they didn't.

Therefore, at the Council of Trent—because of that act by the Protestants—the Catholics ended the Council of Trent by saying, 'Scripture and tradition,' not 'sola scriptura.' They had a chance to repent, but didn't!

Revelation 2:22: "Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their works"—and there was slaughter!

Verse 23: "And I will kill her children with death…" Sounds like the second death. If you kill someone, are they dead? Yes! If you kill them with death, is that not the second death? How can you kill someone and not be dead?

"…and all the churches shall know that I am He Who searches the reins and hearts; and I will give to each of you according to your works. But to you I say, and to the rest who are in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, and who have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will not cast upon you any other burden" (vs 23-24).

The history that Guenther is going to bring out there is going to be really quite important. That's what the brethren went through, so the next time you wake up in the morning and things are not really right, don't get all upset. Think about what they faced when they woke up in the morning. The next time you get a lump in your mattress and it kind of makes your back a little bad, think about lying on the ground with a blanket.

All of those are going to be in the Kingdom of God! So, how much more of what we need to do to respond to God and everything that we have? That's amazing!

Referring to handout for new Interlinear to come:

From Matthew, Mark and Luke about the love of God. Let me tell you a little bit about it before we get into it. Many of the scholars are doing all they can to mess up the Greek text—Textus Receptus!  There are two professors who have done the Byzantine Text Form, which has removed a lot of the errors from an oddball Textus Receptus by Scrivener.

He took the Textus Receptus and collated into it the Sinaiticus version of the New Testament, which is the worst one in the whole history of the New Testament.

The Textus Receptus that is in George Ricker Berry's Interlinear Greek-English New Testament is Stephen's 1550.

I'm right in the middle of a project updating the Textus Receptus. I have finished Matthew and Mark and going through John. We're also working on Luke. The reason that I'm doing it is because those who did the Byzantine Text Form—Robinson and Pierpont—have collated out all the errors that Scrivener put in there.

What I've been doing is checking their final product, because they said they had 1850 changes to the Textus Receptus, which they updated. I'm checking it with the Textus Receptus that George Ricker Berry had, and I'm finding quite the opposite. It's almost identical. But this is a gimmick by the scholarly professors to keep themselves busy.

We want to produce George Ricker Berry's Interlinear reset. That means reset all the type in Greek and English and make it larger type, because every Interlinear that is produce has such small type and it's so hard to read that it discourages people getting into it.

So, this is what it's going to look like, because there's an attack… A man by the name of Joseph Ackerman spent seven years checking 27 different Bibles for the New Testament to find out what they left off in the modern translations. They left off thousand and thousands of words in the whole Bible, but he just checked the New Testament.

The only one that has what needs to be is The Faithful Version and the King James. Since there's such an attack against the new Testament by these false doctrines, I think we need to have an Interlinear that's easy to read, and the Greek letters that we're putting in, 50% bold, so it's easy to read. So, it will encourage those who want to study Greek to get the material. You can get it online and start a New Testament Greek study, and this will help you.

What I've done is combine the Love of God: Matthew, Mark and Luke.

Matthew 22:36: "'Master, which commandment is the great commandment in the Law?' And Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment'" (vs 36-38).

This is how all of these people down through history have been able to remain faithful to God.

Verse 39: "'And the second one is like it: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets'" (vs 39-40).

It's beyond me how all of the Protestants can have the Bible, know this is there but then say they don't have to keep the Sabbath, and they don't have to keep the commandments. One preacher said that if you try to keep the Law, you're going to find yourself sinning. But if you don't try to keep the Law you're not sinning. How stupid can you be?

(Fred continues is reading the Greek from the handout and explaining the words and meanings and showing some differences)

Think about those who were martyred, who for the love of God suffered all the depravation that they went through, and went to the stake singing and praising God!

God created us in a fantastic way with:

  • heart
  • mind
  • abilities
  • thought
  • words
  • language

With His Word given to us in a language we know! We can go back and look at how great that this is. We can go back 2000 years and here are the very words that Jesus said in the very language that Jesus gave it! We can have a close approximation of that pronunciation. That's what Jesus taught!

Remember what Jesus went through: God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whomever may believe in Him may not perish, but may have everlasting life!

Christ is the One Who through God the Father Who calls us! He says, 'Because I love you and I want you in My Kingdom, and I want you to grow and overcome and develop the very mind that I can give you through My Spirit. I want you to love Me with all your heart, mind, soul and being, because I love you with all My heart, mind, soul and being.'

Jesus willingly laid down His life for you, because He loves the sheep! We are His sheep! The sheep hear His voice!

This is what is so fantastic and tremendous about the Word of God! You just keep learning more and more out of something that you've had for a long time, and no other book in the world can do that; just the Word of God!

As we come down to the fall Holy Days, let's keep all of these things in mind. Thank God for His greatness, goodness and His mercy toward us. The joy and things that we can have now, being together and fellowship with one another, assemble together with one another, call one another, e-mail each other. 'tweet' each other—whatever it is. Be in communication! But more importantly, our direct communication is between us in prayer with God the Father and Jesus Christ!

That's what's so great about it. We will need that strength and understanding deep, deep, deep in our inner being to face the days that are coming ahead of us!
