Greetings, brethren! Welcome to Sabbath services! This is the Seven Proofs of God #3. Last time we covered about how God creates and fashions human life in the womb.

Let's go back and review just a little bit what the evolutionists believe contrary to the laws of God that life came about. How do you explain that? Really, when it comes down to it, you're going to find that the evolutionists have a blind faith, greater faith than those who believe in God. The whole creation is an example of God's work in the things that have life and breath, in the things that were made, in the earth, the soil, the mountains, the rocks, the sea, and everything, and man himself. The very fact of man proves there is a Creator.

Let's come to Romans 1. Let's review this because this is really very, very important. How does God look at this? Man saying, 'I just came from green slime.' Really? We'll examine some of the prospects of that happening. But here is what the Bible says because of men who reject God and men who create lawlessness and men who follow Satan the devil and his lies.

Romans 1:18: "Indeed, the wrath of God is revealed from heaven upon all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the Truth in unrighteousness." That's exactly how the colleges, universities, graduate schools and experimental laboratories are run. They are run by ungodly dictation that you cannot believe in God; 'It all evolved.' But right in front of them, everything declares that:

  • God exists
  • God is Creator
  • God has given life

Verse 19: "Because that which may be known of God is manifest among them... [by everything they are examining] ...for God has manifested it to them; For the invisible things of Him are perceived from the creation of the world, being understood by the things that were made—both His eternal power and Godhead—so that they are without excuse" (vs 19-20).

Granted for atheists, most of them are angry at religion, because what religion has presented to them is absolutely insane. But that doesn't relieve them of their obligation to believe in God.

Furthermore, v 21: "Because when they knew God... [They could have known God. You go back in history after the Flood. Did they know God? Did they understand God? Yes, they did!] ...they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but they became vain in their own reasonings, and their foolish hearts were darkened. While professing themselves to be the wise ones, they became fools" (vs 21-22). That's exactly what evolution is:

  • foolish
  • nonsensical
  • unscientific

Let me just state categorically here, the greatest scientist that there is, is God because He created and designed all things.

What they did instead of coming to the knowledge of the Truth, v 23: "And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed creatures, and creeping things" (v 23). There's something that happens there. You can read the rest of Rom. 1, because God gives them over to their own base sins and desires and they degenerate into the worst kind of human being and end up being God-haters, perverts, liars, killers—all of those things.

Now, contrary to the evolutionary theory of men, there is a law. We're going to cover about lawgiver, but if there is a law, how did that law come into existence? There is a particular law called the law of biogenesis. That establishes that life can only come from other life, doesn't spontaneously generate.

Here's another law, the second law of thermodynamics, which is this: all matter is increasingly deteriorating and becoming random and chaotic. Those two laws alone eliminate the theory of evolution. So, in spite of that, those who are supposed to be educated and know, supposedly rational, they still believe in Darwinian evolution: that life on earth somehow started, came into existence spontaneously, all by itself, and then organized itself into more complex higher forms of life and by a process of mutations—followed by natural selection—viola! There is man.

If man evolved—that's kind of a silly statement, isn't it?—how did man become man and woman become woman? As we mentioned last time, all life is produced by some sort of sexual activity. How did the variations alone of all the different forms of sexual activity among human beings and animals and insects and microbes, and so forth happen? Same thing with the eye, what makes the eye see? How come there are so many different eyes, if they have a common ancestral substance that mutated into whatever life form you're looking at? All of this was done without any supervision, without anything directing it. Then here are human beings.

Modern Darwinism is called the 'The Primary Axiom.' The Primary Axiom is that man merely is the product of random mutations plus natural selection. Now you've got a problem. Who directs the selection? How does that come about? Selection of itself indicates some kind of intelligence—does it not? But, because they believe in this, and if they accept the Darwinian version of evolution, then somehow this is a proof that there is no God. It's reasoning in a circle with a mind that was half-engaged, trying to come up with a good excuse to not obey God.

Here is what happens in the schools: You can't disagree with it. You either believe it and go along with it, or you are hounded out of the scientific community. Then that makes education and finding the truth and teaching what is right about what God has created political. I wonder where you heard that before. But education is not supposed to be political. Amazing, isn't it? Science is not really science. It is politics. Education is not really seeking the truth, it is you accept what we teach or you don't get a degree. Yet that hasn't changed anything of God.

I'm going to read from the book, God or No god, by Duncan MacLeod. Let me give you just his brief summation of Darwinian evolution. There are two fundamental assumptions or tenets: (Quotes from page 14-16)

  • All life traces its descent to a common ancestor—probably a "simple" single-celled organism of some kind that was spontaneously generated...

The truth is, all life came from its Creator who gave life.

...by random natural processes acting upon whatever elements and compounds existed on the primordial earth.

How about that? What we're going to find that #2 really doesn't work this way. Isn't that amazing? It's just like the lying theologians. They tell you something about the Scripture. They tell you something that is a lie and then you go look in the Scriptures and you find out that's not the truth!

The very Scriptures that they use to try and prove their lies proves that they are telling lies, rather than a demonstration of the Truth; likewise with the theory of evolution. To reject God is to be willingly abjectly ignorant.

  • The simple forms of life evolved into more and more complex high forms—by a combination of inheritable chance variations (mutations) and "natural selection"...

How's that going to happen? How is there going to be a natural selection? You have this soup of microbes all forming around here and then all of a sudden something tells this microbe to go over here. Something tells this microbe to go over here and something tells the other one to go over there and you become bugs and you become birds and you become mammals and you become human beings. How did that happen by random selection? What if they all got mixed up?

Let me issue you a challenge, which will be less of a problem for you than trying to figure out evolution. Get yourself some alphabetical soup noodles that has the entire alphabet, hundreds of the letters. You take that and you just stir it all up and then sprinkle it in boiling water and see if you can come up with a coherent sentence floating on top of the soup. 'Hello, I'm soup, eat me and you'll be nourished.'

Natural selection kept getting better and better. However, they have a problem. Because nothing in nature gets better and better, it deteriorates. That is the second law of thermodynamics. Where did that law come from in the first place?

...until ultimately the human species came into being, evolving out of primate ancestors. The entire process occurred over millions of years, but with no external causal or guiding factor; and at no time was the process in any way supervised or directed….

Couldn't say by anyone, because no one was there. 'Anyone' had not evolved.

…None of the organisms, or any parts of them or their functioning metabolic systems was in any manner, shape, or form "designed"...

Oh, oh! We covered that on design and life already—didn't we? Yes, indeed!

...despite how much it may appear so.

Think of that! Just going against what you actually see. What we're doing here to record this and send it out to everyone is we have things that were made, created, invented, and built and tested by men to be the very things that we are doing. You know and I know if the electricity fails, there is nothing—correct? Yes! There are also a few sub-tenets to the two tenets of the theory of evolution:

  • Initial changes in an organism usually occurred by mutation.
  • The mutations must have been inherited by subsequent generations.

How can that be? What if the selections said, 'Oh, oh, I don't want any more men. Let's go make apes.'

  • Those mutations which made the species "more fit" prevailed, over those which did not, by "natural selection."

If there was no guiding hand, no nothing to make it happen, just by itself. Wouldn't that be nice if you could do that with your house? Every day by natural selection the whole house is cleaned up, all the beds are made, all the food is cooked and dished up and served out to everyone. All your clothes are cleaned and pressed and ironed. Doesn't happen that way—does it?

  • After multiple such changes and selection, one species gave rise to a new species...

Somewhere it stopped. If it stops, how can there be evolution? You figure that. But this is supposed to be—

...a process repeated thousands of times over millions of years, in the direction of more-complex "higher" life forms, culminating in the development of the "human species."

The truth is, no such changes ever occurred. Just to make one amino acid—we're not talking about a whole bunch of amino acids already together. So, here's what it's calculated:

...the odds against all of the necessary proteins for life, with their component amino acids forming in one place at the same time in the right order by chance….

What did they find? What was the calculation? Any mathematicians out there? Here are the odds, because you're dealing with natural selection. It may or may not be. How does it all get together so it can form a human body? This is to make an amino acid:

...1040,000 power to one. The number of atoms in the entire known universe is only about 1080 power.

So, you see how impossible that it is!

..."even if the whole universe consisted of organic soup." Not only that, but all the matter of the universe would have to be in one contiguous mass, not divided into billions of separate bodies, and it still would be impossible! Mind you, we're not even talking about a complete "simple" organism coming to life, but only about one of the proteins needed for that life!

The truth is, life can only come from life! Then he draws the analogy that if you just give a little to evolution and take them at what they say, which is this: If the fittest are the ones who are surviving and they have to get nourishment by devouring those that are unfit, then how was there any survival? After they got done eating everything in order to survive, where did they get the rest of the food so they can continue to survive? Evolution leads to a lot of difficulties and problems, so you need this book, God or No god by Duncan MacLeod. Be sure and read it; very good. This is why the first chapter of Genesis is the most scientific and coherent description of creation and the order of it. How all life came to be on the plant is really quite a thing.

First of all you've got to have an earth. That's what God created. Then you've got to have the earth moving. First God created the universe. Then He came down to this galaxy where He created the earth, He formed the earth. Then there had to be light. So, He used the sun and moon that He created. There had to be the turning on its axis so we can have day and night. There had to be water. There had to be air, land, all of these things. God created all of that first, and then He began to create the animals and birds. That began on the fifth day of creation.

Genesis 1:20: "And God said, 'Let the waters abound with swarms of living creatures... [God had them all planned and created and He called them into existence. He spoke and they were created. Here He spoke and said, 'Let it be.'] ...and let fowl fly over the earth on the face of the firmament of heaven.'"

We have all the birds. Look at what fantastic birds that God has made. How could they evolve into all of these different species from the little teeny-weeny hummingbird to the great, soaring birds that can just stretch out their wings and glide forever and ever.

Notice the oceans, v 21: "And God created great sea-animals, and every living creature that moves with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged fowl after its kind. And God saw that it was good."

Today we have documentaries we can look and see about the earth, the water, the ocean, the air, the birds, the mammals. We can even have tremendous things showing every small little simple-celled animal. God made them all, all has a purpose, all function together. They all had to be brought into existence together. That takes care of all the life in the oceans and all the life in the air—right?

Verse 23: "And the evening and the morning were day five. And God said, 'Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind.…'" (vs 23-24). Life comes from kind after kind! That becomes a tremendous thing, brethren. Men have tried all kinds of crossbreeding. Yes, men have tried to crossbreed with apes and gorillas and chimpanzees, but nothing ever came of it.

If there was a common ancestry, which there is not, but if there would be, don't you think that you could crossbreed and have it go back in evolution and create the half-man/half-ape. Just like on the front of the book. Of course, this is the 'holy grail' of evolution, right here. Their belief is based upon lies, assumption, cartoons, politics, pressure and twisted and warped thinking. It's not based on truth! There is no scientific endeavor in it at all. They deny scientific truth. That's why Gen. 1 is the most scientific document as to how life got here. God made it!

Verse 24: "'…after their kind—livestock, creeping things, and beasts of the earth—each after their its kind.' And it was so." You cannot defy that.

Let me just give you a little example here. Men have wanted to know, could they crossbreed cattle and buffalo and get a beefalo. They've been able to crossbreed them with great difficulty, but their offspring are mostly sterile. Just like crossing a donkey and a horse, you get a mule, but it's sterile. It can't be after its own kind because the law of kind after kind was crossed and now it's impossible for it to go forward and create more mules with female mules and male mules. They just cannot do it.

Likewise with buffalo and cows. If they do find an offspring that is fertile, it either moves back toward the bovine, that is the cows, or back toward the buffalo. They can't keep a new breed of crossbreed of buffalo and beef, nor can they do so with horses and donkeys. In order to accomplish it, you must have the opposite animals breed every time.

That's why God made it here: "'...each after its kind.' And it was so…. [You cannot break and defy what God has made.] …And God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the livestock after their kind, and every creeping thing upon the earth after their kind. And God saw that it was good" (vs 24-25).

Then we come to man. There's no evolution here. This is the progression of God's creation day by day. Then on the sixth day God made man. Notice how special man is. This is why Satan likes to promulgate the theory of evolution to get people away from God because he doesn't want people to know that God made man for a very special reason.

Verse 26: "And God said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness...'" Think about that! We're not made after the ape kind. We're not made after the other animal kinds. Think on this! Evolutionists think that they really have something when they get into studying genetics of apes and chimpanzees and orangutans and so forth, and they say that they have 95% the same genes as human beings. They think, 'If we can just put together the other 5%, we can create more human beings.' But the problem is they cannot.

You need to look at it the opposite way. You can have 95% of the same genes, but if you're missing the 5% that God didn't put there, you can't have human beings. God said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness.' That's something. We've covered that, how God creates human beings. Life must produce life from the same kind! That's how we all got here—correct? All of the evolutionists need to check their belly button once in a while to remind them if they had to be born and they didn't evolve, they had to have a mother and a father. Yes!

But here in v 26 is the whole story of the rest of the Bible. What is God going to do with human beings and why did He create us after His image and after His likeness? It's in the rest of the Bible! "…'Let Us make man in Our image after Our likeness…" after Our kind—kind after kind—is what God wants us to become—after His kind.

Now let's see how human beings got life. It's got to come from life. Does God have life? Yes! God says that He has life inherent. Jesus said, 'The Father has life in Himself and likewise He has given to the Son to have life in Himself,' so that they can impart it to us, made after the image and likeness of God.

He created them male and female; now we find out how, Genesis 2:7: "Then the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being." Or a living soul; you had to get your first breath.

Babies created in the womb get their oxygen—we all need oxygen to survive—immediately from their mothers, therefore, taking of the breath of the mother while they develop in the womb. Then it comes times for them to be born and they are born and to get their first breath they start crying and billowing out their lungs—that's why they cry—to get the lungs going, get them breathing.

You must continue to breathe from that first breath for however long you live until you expire and you give out your last breath. One thing is for sure, you can check with any coroner, no new babies automatically evolve in the morgue. Nor has it ever been known that they come out of the ground from the grave. So much for the theory of evolution!

Let's look and see what else God says about life here. God wants to give us eternal life. That's the whole thing. He inhabits eternity, as we saw last time.

Psalm 104 is really quite a Psalm on how God created things, maintains things, keeps the earth going and keeps everything living.

  • He made life
  • He has life within Himself
  • He imparted life to everything that lives

It just doesn't automatically come from inorganic chemicals and all of a sudden now you have life. Just doesn't happen.

This is quite a thing; let's see what God says. This is what we need to understand. Psalm 104 tells us more about the creation of God and how He preserves it and maintains it after Gen. 1. It answers many, many questions about life and earth, and life of all kinds.

(go to the next track)

Psalm 104 shows how God sustains what He created. We have of the seven proofs of God:

  • Creator
  • Designer—order
  • Life—power and energy
  • Sustainer

Sustainer:

There's also power in that! He sustains it! Not only has He built it; He can change it!

The next time you're driving along, and out here in the West we get a chance to see it all the time. When I was pastoring in Salt Lake and Boise I would drive into Wyoming. There you can go up 12,000 feet right on the Continental Divide and you can stoop down and you can pick up fossils that used to be on the bottom of the ocean—at 12,000 feet. The mountains were raised up and there were great things that happened to this earth to form the mountains. It's very interesting.

I notice this in my many travels. As I would go up the main highway in Southern Wyoming toward Rock Springs, the strata of the rocks would point east. On the other side of Rock Springs the strata would point west. What does that tell us? That tells us that somewhere right in that area, which is right at the Continental Divide, the highest point of the mountains, that those mountains were lifted up and spread apart. Therefore, the strata that used to be parallel are now on 30-45 degree angles. In some places 60-80% angles.

When I drive down to L.A. to go to Arcadia, I go through a spot in the mountains right coming on into Los Angeles where the strata are sitting on edge at this angle. How did that happen? God made it happen!

There are times that He has changed the formation of the earth. Raised the mountains, lowered the mountains. What happened in the Flood? The windows of heaven opened up and the rain came down and the fountains of the deep were broken up! What happened with that? There had to be volcanoes. There had to be moving of mountains. There had to be shifting of these things all around.

Even the evolutionists understand that the continents had to be separated. It makes you wonder what they're thinking. But they say, 'Oh, that took place billions of years ago.' Really? No, God could make it happen all of a sudden. We'll see it right here.

Psalm 104 shows how God sustains the world and all life. It ties right in with Gen. 1. David starts out this Psalm 104:1: "Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, You are very great; You are clothed with honor and majesty."

God is a spirit being and as we covered, He inhabits eternity! That's a level of existence that we want to attain to. God wants us to come to that, but He has to make it happen. You can't evolve from just being a physical human being now to having immortality. God has to give it. That also is proof that evolution cannot be true.

Notice what God—Who inhabits eternity—looks like. We see it in another place there in Rev. 1 that the countenance of Jesus' face was like the sun shining in its full strength. Notice how it's expressed here, v 2: "Covering Yourself with light as with a garment, and stretching out the heavens like a curtain."

Do you have a big bay-view window that you look out? Do you have curtains that you can just run over there and pull the cord and the curtains close? Think of it this way: God stretched out the vastness of the heavens, the earth, the universe, just like curtains.

Verse 3: "Who lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters. He makes the clouds His chariot; He walks upon the wings of the wind." Can you do that? Jesus said, 'Those who have been born again...' All of you who think you're born again Christians, you better take another thought, because you haven't been born again yet. No way!

Born again means that you're changed from flesh to spirit, because Jesus said, 'That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the spirit is spirit. That which is born of the spirit is just like the wind in that it's invisible. It goes wherever it wills and you can't tell from where it came, to where it's going. So is everyone who is born of the spirit.'

God is a spirit being so He can walk on the clouds, walk on the wings of the wind. Now then, there's another creation that the evolutionists know nothing about, nor do they understand, nor do they realize. There is another level of spirit beings. First you have God—God the Father and God the Son. Below them you have all the angels. Part of the story of man's existence and man's fall is that there was a fall of a third of the angels, eons ago under one who became Satan the devil.

There is a Satan the devil who is a liar, who will foment these kinds of theories that these evolutionists believe, cause them to believe it, cause them to believe a lie. Then there are the righteous angels, two-thirds of the angels that remained faithful to God.

Verse 4: "He makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flaming fire." He uses the angels and demons to rule the world. He talks about the nature of God and then the nature of angels.

He talks about the earth, v 5: "He established the earth on its foundations..." I wonder what the foundations of the earth are? They have some things where they know that the core of the earth is molten iron and other elements involved in it, as well. That's where we get the magnetics that keeps the earth moving and spinning on its axis and the magnetics that come from the sun and the magnetics that come from Jupiter. The earth is protected by a magnetic shield. Amazing, isn't it?

"...so that it should not be removed forever. You covered it with the deep as with a garment... [let there be water—BAM!—there was water] ...the waters stood above the mountains.... [yes, it was all flooded] ...At Your rebuke they fled; at the voice of Your thunder they hastened away. The mountains rose; the valleys sank down to the place that You have founded for them. You have set a bound that they may not pass over, so that they might not return again to cover the earth" (vs 5-9).

He separated the waters and said, 'Go no further than this.' Yes, we can have tsunami waves, but they can't destroy the land and they can't get out of the bounds of the oceans. But a tsunami wave is a phenomena created by something else such as an earthquake and the power and magnitude of the earthquake under the waters.

Verse 10: "He sends forth the springs into the valleys..." We all need water to live and drink—don't we? Right now we're in the middle of a terrible, terrible drought. It looks like the Mississippi River is going to nearly dry up. What do you think is going to happen to all the wells? What are you going to do if you run out of water because God tells the clouds, 'Do not rain.'

Normally the springs: "...flow between the mountains. They give drink to every beast of the field; the wild donkeys quench their thirst. Beside them the birds of heaven will have their place of rest; they sing among the branches" (vs 10-12). God has made everything—hasn't He? Look at what the birds are and what they do. Fantastic!

Verse 13: "He waters the mountains from His upper chambers... [There's a lot of snow at the North and South Poles because rain freezes.] ...the earth is full of the fruit of Your works." If the evolutionists would just believe that, everything is there to demonstrate the power of God's creation:

  • His design
  • His making it happen
  • His sustaining it

This is what we're talking about now. He is sustaining all of these things. Yes, He renews them because unless He renews them, they all deteriorate and collapse and become nothing. God sustains them.

Verse 14: "He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and herbs for the service of man, to bring forth food from the earth, and wine that makes glad the heart of man, and oil that makes his face shine, and bread to strengthen the heart of man" (vs 14-15). Everything that there is there God has made to sustain all life and human life and so that we can have food to eat. Stop and think.

  • Did you have breakfast this morning?
  • What did you eat?
  • Where did it come from?
  • How did it get there?
  • What was the effort necessary for people to get it to you?
  • Did you enjoy it?

God made food an enjoyable thing—didn't He? Yes, indeed!

He shows how He sustains everything that He does, v 16: "The trees of the LORD are full of sap, the cedars of Lebanon which He has planted." How does a tree grow? Or grass? You know what the most common thing on the earth is? Grass! What does it say about human beings? All flesh is grass! Are we sustained by vegetarian things? Yes! Do animals that we eat, how do they grow? They eat grass and other fodder food—don't they? Yes! All flesh is grass, like the flower of the field.

Verse 17: "Where the birds make their nests; as for the stork, the fir trees are her home. The high mountains are for the wild goats, and the rocks are a refuge for the badgers" (vs 17-18). Watch any special showing the mountain-climbing goats. They are amazing creatures. They are something. They can move around on steep mountains. That's where they live. God made them there.

Let's see how He sustains more things on the earth, v 19: "Who made the moon for the appointed times..." That's why we have the book, The Appointed Times of Jesus the Messiah. What is God doing on earth? He's doing it according to the appointed times!

"...the sun knows its going down. You make darkness, and it is night in which all the beasts of the forest creep forth" (vs 19-20). There are some things that God made that come out and they live their lives in the dark at night while we're all sleeping.

Verse 21: "The young lions roar after their prey and seek their food from God. The sun rises; they slink away and go to their dens to lie down. Man goes out to his work and to his labor until evening" (vs 21-23). Does that not happen to this very day? Yes! God has made it that way and sustains it that way.

Verse 24: "O LORD, how many are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all; the earth is full of Your creatures." That's why God says He has manifested His divinity and His Godhead and His power to all of mankind and yet there are those who chose to reject what God has revealed and believe in the theory of evolution.

We have the seven proofs that God exists. The very fact that life continues, the way that God has ordered it, and whenever men get out of alignment with God, then we have difficulties and problems—don't we? Yes! It affects the sun, the moon, the stars, the earth, the harvest seasons—everything.

Those people who live in areas where there's starvation and famine, they know what it is, life and death. They know how think the margin of life is. Those who have to go get water, where there is no water at all and they have to travel a long way and go down into the well and the oasis and bring up the water, they know. They need water. God provides it for them there. Think about what God has done for all of us here. That's something!

Verse 25: "There is the great and wide sea in which are creatures without number, both small and great living things." Just like He said, just like it was there in Gen. 1. I want you to understand, God sustains all of that! You can read all the rest of Psa. 104, but God is Sustainer.

Hebrews 1 is a verification that what God is doing is being held up by the One Who created it Who is Jesus Christ. That's what is so tremendous about the Bible. Isn't it something, brethren? Stop and think about it! Stop and think about the penalty of the ignorance of the evolutionists and scientists who instead of giving God the glory glorify nothing. Everything came from nothing. But how can nothing produce something?

Try a little experiment: Have an empty cupboard. Put nothing in it and check it every single day to see if it brings forth something. It may be invaded by ants or cockroaches, spiders, but did it of itself produce anything? Can the cupboard that you built out of inanimate wood produce live, living things on the shelf that you put there that are nothing? No, they can't!

Likewise, after the earth is created and everything that God created, it has to be sustained. Psalm 104 tells us God is One Who sustains it. He is Sustainer!

This is to give you a greater understanding also of your calling and Who it is that is working with you. Brethren, I want you—each and every one of you—to know and understand: the One Who created the heavens and the earth—Jesus Christ; and the One Who is greater than Jesus—the Father; They love you, They want you, They are dealing in your life.

Not only are we talking about sustaining of the physical creation, we are also talking about sustaining of the spiritual creation that God is working in you.

  • He wants your full cooperation
  • He wants you to grow in grace and knowledge
  • He wants you to study and pray
  • He wants you to learn and change and grow and to know what God wants you to do
  • He wants you to know Who He is:
  • how much He loves you
  • how much He cares for you
  • the great plan that He has for you

Not only does He sustain the earth, the universe, and everything that there is, He sustains us! Furthermore, by His Spirit we have seen in the series we have done on Grace Upon Grace that He is dwelling within us. God the Father and Jesus Christ are dwelling within us with His Spirit that He has given to us so that we can

  • understand the greatness of God
  • understand the plan of God
  • know why we're here and where we are going

These things did not happen by accident and these things did not happen by evolution. It didn't gradually happen one time. God had to reach down and bring you to repentance so you could repent and come to Him. God says, 'I am going to give you eternal life that is going to be of a level of existence in eternity that is going to be so fantastic that it's going to be awesome indeed. You won't really realize it until the day of the resurrection.'

Hebrews 1:1: "God, Who spoke to the fathers at different times in the past and in many ways by the prophets, has spoken to us in these last days by His Son, Whom He has appointed heir of all things..." (vs 1-2). That means the universe. He made them. He created them and is still creating.

  • The universe is not winding down
  • The universe is not collapsing
  • The universe is still being created by the power of the Word of God

Christ was the Word Who spoke and it was.

"...heir of all things... [we are joint heirs with Christ] ...by Whom also He made the worlds [ages] Who, being the brightness of His glory and the exact image of His person..." (vs 2-3). Think about that for a minute, because we are made in the image and likeness of God—right? Yes! For this great purpose!

The evolutionists are never going to find that out because their foolish hearts were darkened and they are blinded. They are blinded by the worship of their own minds and proclaiming themselves how great and righteous and good that they are.

Verse 3: "Who, being the brightness of His glory and the exact image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His own power..." Jesus told the disciples just before He ascended into heaven, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.'

"...the brightness of His glory... [clothed with light and majesty] ...the image of His person... [that's what we are to be] ...and upholding all things by the word of His own power..." (v 3). But He had to do something to save us. Here's what He did. This is the greatest summary of Gen. 1 and the Gospels, right here:

"...when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high" (v 3). God is going to have us be with Christ and with the Father. That is going to be something! That is going to be really fantastic, brethren, when you know that; when you understand that.

This is something, brethren. Let's really know and understand it the way we need to. God has called us to be in His Kingdom. It's one thing to understand some of the things we're discussing here. But all of these things are only stepping-stones to understand why we're here, where we're going, what our purpose is, and what God is doing for us. We need to realize and understand that. Think what it's going to be like at the resurrection. We're all on the Sea of Glass.

  • Every one of us get a new name
  • Every one of us get new garments
  • Every one of us have an assignment

All of us are important and we are going to rule the world. That's why God has called us. That's where we're going.

Not only is it a matter of disproving, which is easy to do the things concerning evolution and those who believe that everything came from nothing. But it's another thing to go beyond and understand the purpose as to why God has done what He has done.

Psalm 148:1: "O praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the heights. Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His hosts. Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all you stars of light. Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, and waters that are above the heavens. Let them praise the name of the LORD, for He commanded and they were created" (vs 1-5).
All of that to the glory of God. Amazing thing—isn't it? Yes, indeed! Think of what it's going to be like on that day of resurrection, when we will literally see this take place, the climax and the culmination of the creation of God. God is creating in us His character. That's the most important thing. It takes God—the Father and Christ—and you working together to grow in grace and knowledge and develop the holy character that comes from God.

Verse 6: "He has also established them forever and ever; He has made a decree which shall not pass away. Let praise be to the LORD from the earth, you sea monsters, and all the depths; fire and hail, snow and vapor, stormy winds fulfilling His Word. Mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars, Beasts and all livestock, creeping things and flying birds, kings of the earth and all people, princes and all judges of the earth, both young men and maidens, old men and children; Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and the heavens. And He has also lifted up a horn for His people, praise for all His saints, even of the children of Israel, a people near to him. O praise the LORD!" (vs 6-14).

Let's come to Revelation 5 and let's see how that God's plan is going to have the whole creation praise God. Think of that! It's going to be what God is doing with us. Notice what happens here. This is a tremendous thing, brethren. Think of this!

Revelation 5:10: "And did make us unto our God kings and priests; and we shall reign on the earth." That's what we're going to do. Listen, this world is in trouble and difficulty and has problems. It's almost getting overwhelming the number of problems that we're having to face everywhere, and I know even in your lives there are going to be some difficult things to come, so keep your mind on this!

Verse 11: "And I saw and I heard the voices of many angels... [this brings a fulfillment of Psa. 148] ...around the throne, and the voices of the living creatures and the elders, and thousands of thousands… [clear from the far reaches of the universe it's going to come] …saying with a loud voice, 'Worthy is the Lamb Who was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory and blessing'" (vs 11-12). At that moment when that takes place, look at what is going to happen, just like we read back there in Psa. 148.

Verse 13: "And every creature that is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and those that are on the sea, and all the things in them, I heard saying, 'To Him Who sits on the throne... [the Father] ...and to the Lamb, be blessing, and honor, and glory, and sovereignty into the ages of eternity.'" We're the ones who are going to live the billions of years with God, not evolution taking billions of years to form the smallest little evolved thing that they can image. Yet, with all this evidence right in front of them they are blind. You need to feel sorry for them. Anyone who believes in evolution has got to also be very miserable.

Verse 14: "And the four living creatures said, 'Amen.' And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him Who lives into the ages of eternity."

We've gone beyond disproving evolution into what is the purpose of creation. It's one thing to say, 'Oh, the evolutionists are nutty.' But what does God have? Why did He create all of it? Here we have it.

Psalm 149:1: "O praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, and His praise in the congregation of saints…. [that's going to happen on the Sea of Glass] …Let Israel rejoice in His Maker; let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise His name in the dance; let them sing praises to Him with the drum and lyre. For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He crowns the meek with salvation" (vs 1-4). Every one of us is going to have a crown of life. Think of that. Think of this as the great ceremony on the Sea of Glass.

Verse 5: "Let the saints be joyful in glory... [Won't that be great? Yes! You have a spirit body, a spirit mind. You have glory.] ...let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand to execute vengeance upon the nations and punishments upon the people, to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with iron bands, To carry out upon them the judgment written—this honor have all His saints. O praise the LORD!" (vs 5-9).

  • That's going to be an amazing thing, brethren.
  • That's why we need to learn the Word of God.
  • That why we need to love God with all our heart and mind and soul and being.
  • That's why we need to, brethren, grow and change and overcome.

Look at what God has for us here.

It's not just a matter of debunking the evolutionists. It's not just a matter of writing a booklet so we can say, 'Oh, well, you don't know what you're saying.' It is so that that then can become a vehicle to preach the Gospel. So that they, likewise, can have the blinders removed from them, the veil lifted from their eyes!

We still have a few more things to cover about the seven proofs of God, but we've got to go beyond the seven proofs of God. We've got to go to what is God doing.

Psalm 150:1: "O praise the LORD. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in the firmament of His power. Praise Him for His might acts... [the most mighty act is going to be the resurrection] ...praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Praise Him with the sound of the ram's horn; praise Him with the harp and lyre. Praise Him with the drum and dance; praise Him with stringed instruments and pipes. Praise Him on the loud cymbals; praise Him with the resounding cymbals. Let everything that breathes praise the LORD. O praise the LORD!" (vs 1-6).

That is going to be the ultimate answer to the foolishness of evolution!
