Dear Brethren,

In an amazing political comeback, conservatives swept nearly all Marxists out of office in Virginia’s recent elections. Clearly, the people of Virginia want a return to honesty and openness in government and education. This is a good sign—a significant step toward repentance from evil. While it is not “repentance unto salvation,” it may be enough to hold back America’s rapid slide into destruction. If this kind of return to basic honesty in government and education could occur in the majority of US states, perhaps God might give the nation a respite from all the evil that has been engulfing us. We can hope and pray that decent, honest people will come forward in other states and do like they did in Virginia.

The next ray of hope is now before the Supreme Court. It is the case of the Texas “heartbeat” abortion law. As we know, America’s greatest continuous sin since 1973 has been the killing of the unborn. This Texas law states that if there is a detectable heart beat of the infant in the womb, then no abortion is allowed. If the Court rules in favor of this law, it could virtually eliminate abortions in the United States. However, God will not forget the blood of the 63 million babies already aborted.

Still, we need to remember that the US is facing the most corrupt, deceptive, and destructive government program in the history of the Republic—Biden’s “Build Back Better” plan. Massive lies about the supposed benefits of this Marxist/Socialist agenda have been told by Biden, his administration, the majority of the Democratic Party, and most of the media. If fully implemented, no one will escape the oppressive tentacles of this government straightjacket—enforced by the Internal Revenue Service. With some 87,000 new super-snooping agents, the IRS is preparing to monitor everyone’s bank accounts. Under Biden, America is fast headed toward third world status—with the total loss of freedom for everyone.

Biden’s plan will be instrumental in bringing about the greatest economic devastation in the history of this nation. Trillions of dollars are needed to carry out Biden’s “Build Back Better” scheme; yet such enormous debt could very well bring about the total collapse of the dollar—thus breaking the pride of our power. When that happens, there is no question that it will result in the global economy spinning out of control—engulfing the entire world in a great depression. In fact, the massive inflation we are currently experiencing is only a precursor of the coming collapse of the dollar. All the economic forces of a monetary collapse are now on our doorsteps. No one knows when the dominos will start falling; but when they do, it will mean total economic devastation for the US economy.

While these things are happening right under our noses, more and more economists are warning that it is coming. The nations of the world are worried that the dollar will soon collapse and have no value whatsoever, just like the German mark in the early 1930s. Then, all of our creditors will be left holding trillions in worthless US treasury bonds, other governmental debt obligations, real estate mortgages, and commercial loans.

Now, because of the frenzied spending plans and reckless borrowing of trillions of dollars by the Biden administration and the US Congress—coupled with the deteriorating condition of the dollar because the Federal Reserve is printing money and monetizing the nation’s debt—it looks like economic collapse may come sooner rather than later.

While the situation in the USA is precarious, the economic woes are worse in the UK and in many other parts of Europe. Moreover, nearly every nation in the world is affected by this current worldwide economic recession/depression. As things continue to get worse, which they undoubtedly will, a global crisis of immense proportions will engulf all nations—everyone will be broke at the same time. When the nations of the world are finally exhausted by economic ruin—suffering from pestilence, wars and famine—then they will be more than willing to give up their sovereignty, their national currencies, and enthusiastically accept a new global currency. Undoubtedly, a tremendous economic boom will then soon follow.

I wrote the following back in 2004 and in 2009 about the coming collapse of the US economy. Since then, key economic factors have been building toward the final dollar collapse.

“I am writing this … because of the rapid decline of the dollar in the United States and in the world. We are literally witnessing prophecy being fulfilled before our eyes.

“World government will be the next step. When that happens, it will develop into the final Beast of Revelation 13 and 17. With a single world monetary system—with worldwide taxation coupled with advances in technology—the imposition of the Mark of the Beast will naturally follow. Undoubtedly, the Mark of the Beast will be voluntary at first and the majority of people will embrace it.

“For the past couple of years, the value of the dollar has declined dramatically. In fact, since this summer it has fallen by nearly 40 percent. (The value of the dollar today as compared to 1940 is a mere 3 cents.) This is causing great havoc on the international trading market and on nations that hold trillions of dollars of our government, business, and personal debt. The United States owes nearly 45 trillion; some experts say more. This has caused the price of everything to rise dramatically. What has happened to the price of oil recently, though the prices now appear to be falling, is just a foretaste of what we will be facing in the future.

“In 1980, the United States was a creditor nation—the nations of the world owed us money. However, in 25 years all that has changed. Today, we are the greatest debtor nation the world has ever seen. Now it appears that the nations of the world are ready to begin taking action against the US—which will also affect the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

“At the present time it is most difficult for them to act, because if they pull the plug on our debt and start cashing out their trillions of dollars of our debt, this will cause their own economies to collapse. So the nations of the world are, for now, stuck with the declining dollar and the tremendous loss of value of their dollar holdings. No one knows how much longer we can hold out, but a drastic dollar adjustment and decline is about to occur. If a depression does not hit us, we will at least be faced with runaway inflation. Either way, it will affect everyone!

“God prophesied that the nations of Israel would suffer these calamities for rejecting Him and His commandments. In Deuteronomy 28, God lays bare this coming economic upheaval: ‘The stranger dwelling among you shall get up above you very high, and you shall come down very low. He shall loan to you, and you shall not loan to him. He shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.

“ ‘And all these curses shall come on you, and shall pursue you and overtake you, until you are destroyed because you did not obey the voice of the Lord your God to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you. And they shall be on you for a sign and for a wonder, and on your seed forever. Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joyfulness and with gladness of heart for the abundance of all things, therefore you shall serve your enemies which the Lord shall send against you in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in the want of all things. And he shall put a yoke of iron on your neck until he has destroyed you…. And he [your enemies] shall besiege you within all your gates until your high and fortified walls in which you trusted come down throughout all the land. And he shall besiege you within all your gates throughout all your land which the Lord your God has given you’ (Deut. 28:43-48, 52).

“The economic disaster will be the first thing to happen. And it will probably come in several stages. We need to understand the times we are living in and not get caught asleep at the wheel. On the Sabbath, December 4, I gave a sermon on the coming economic tribulation. I read excerpts from the book The New Economic Disorder—Our Economy in the End Times by Larry Bates (ISBN 0-88419-383-7; published by Charisma House). If you want to order a copy for yourself, you can call the publisher at (800) 599-5750.

“Brethren, we need to be wise and prepare the best that we are able, given our individual circumstances. God instructs us: ‘A prudent one foresees the evil and hides himself, but the thoughtless plow ahead and are punished’ (Prov. 22:3).

“I am not a financial advisor, so I cannot tell you what to do. You have to make your own decisions, in faith, trusting God to guide you. But I can tell you that the most important thing you can do first is to get out of debt as much as possible, except for your housing. Above all, remain faithful to God in your tithes and offerings so that He can bless you according to His promises: ‘Bring all the tithes into the treasure house, so that there may be food in My house. And prove Me now with this,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘to see if I will not surely open the windows of heaven for you, and pour out a blessing for you, until there is not enough room to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and it shall not destroy the fruit of your ground; nor shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field,’ says the Lord of hosts (Mal. 3:10-11).

“And again, as Paul wrote: ‘For God is able to make all grace abound toward you so that in every way you may always have sufficiency in all things, and may abound unto every good work’ (II Cor. 9:8).” (End of excerpts from 2004 and 2009.)

Here is one of the many reports concerning the economic condition of the US dollar—from November of 2013, showing that this disaster has been building for many years. It seems as if this was written just last week; it is by Greg Hunter (revised).

Annihilation of US Dollar Coming”: Jim Sinclair

“Renowned gold expert Jim Sinclair says financial calamity is just around the corner for America. Sinclair contends, ‘We are facing the annihilation of currency. We are facing the shift of America as the leading and most influential nation of the world to some form of banana republic…. If it wasn’t for food stamps, we would be facing long lines of people waiting for free food.’ For gold, everything hinges on the U.S. dollar, and Sinclair says, ‘I think the dollar gets hammered. I believe we are headed for hyperinflation.’ One of the many black swans, according to Sinclair, is the possible abandonment of the U.S. dollar by Saudi Arabia. If Saudi Arabia stopped selling oil only in U.S. dollars, what would that do to the buying power of the buck? Sinclair says gasoline would be ‘$10 a gallon very soon, without a doubt.’

“Sinclair predicts retirement funds and bank deposits are going to be taken by the government. How much of your money could you lose? Sinclair says, ‘In Cyprus, it was a total of 83%.... Cypress is the blueprint, and it’s what we are going to experience here in the United States.’ Sinclair … [also] says, ‘The exchange will trade physical gold only and not future gold…. You have to make delivery.’ Meaning, there will be no naked short selling or manipulation of this new market. Sinclair says, ‘This will emancipate gold from the paper price.’ How high will gold go? Sinclair predicts, by 2016, ‘Gold will be $3,200 to $3,500 an ounce.’ By 2020, Sinclair predicts, ‘Emancipated gold will be $50,000 per ounce.’ ”

Through the years, we have seen many warnings that this time of economic disaster would come because of uncontrolled borrowing and the printing of fiat money. Now it is at the door. In spite of all this, a burning question remains: Is it possible to avoid these coming calamities? Perhaps delay them for a space of time? What would the people of this nation have to do? God gives us the answer. Through all His prophets, God repeatedly warned the twelve tribes of Israel of their coming national demise, captivity, and exile because of their sins. But they would not listen! They refused to obey God! They would not repent! They would not change, even though God gave them repeated warnings over and over again! It is ironic that the only nation to ever repent was the ancient Gentile nation of Assyria with their king at Nineveh, as recorded in the book of Jonah.

In Jeremiah’s time, we find that just before the first invasion of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, God gave the people of Judah a chance to repent. If they would repent, and obey His voice, God would put off the invasion and hold back His hand of correction and punishment. Notice: “Thus the Lord said to me, ‘Go and stand in the gates of the children of the people, by which the kings of Judah come in, and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem. And say to them, “Hear the Word of the Lord, kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the people of Jerusalem who enter in by these gates! Thus says the Lord, ‘Take heed to yourselves, and carry no burden on the Sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem. Nor carry out a burden from your houses on the Sabbath day, nor do any work, but keep the Sabbath day holy, as I commanded your fathers.

“ ‘ “ ‘But they did not obey, nor inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, so that they might not hear nor receive instruction. And it shall be, if you diligently hearken to Me,’ says the Lord, ‘to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the Sabbath day, but keep the Sabbath day holy, to do no work in it; then kings and rulers sitting on the throne of David shall enter into the gates of this city, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their rulers, the men of Judah, and the people of Jerusalem. And this city shall remain forever…. But if you will not hearken to Me to keep the Sabbath day holy, and not to carry a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day; then I will kindle a fire in its gates, and it will devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it will not be put out’ ” ’ ” (Jer. 17:19-27).

As it was then, so it is now! In order for things to change for the better in the USA, there would have to be a massive national repentance of all the churches, of all religions, at all levels of government, in all educational institutions, and among the general public. They would have to repent of all their sins and seek the Lord. And then keep God’s seventh day Sabbath!

Even in the most desperate of circumstances, God gives us through the prophet Joel the way to mitigate complete disaster—even the deadly effects of the Day of the Lord. It will come, but people will live through it. There must be repentance from the heart for all our sins and transgressionsindividually and collectively: “[For] powerful is He who executes His Word, for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can endure it? ‘Therefore even now,’ says the Lord, ‘turn to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning. Yes, rend your heart and not your garments, and return to the Lord your God: for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and He repents of the evil’ ” (Joel 2:11-13).

This is clear and unequivocal! God will not be mocked! As the modern descendants of the twelve tribes of Israel, we must come to God on His terms—according to His Word, according to His will. We cannot continue to reject His correction that He has already shown us through His judgments against us. We have had more than 20 years of correction; but as a nation, we have refused to repent! In fact, most people have become more entrenched in their sins and rebellion as they continue to reject God and push their fists in His face!

Here is God’s response for refusing to repent: “ ‘I have stricken you with blasting and mildew. When your gardens and your vineyards, and your fig trees, and your olive trees increased, the creeping locust devoured them; yet you have not returned to Me,’ says the Lord. ‘I have sent the plague among you after the manner of Egypt; I have slain your young men with the sword, and have taken away your horses. And I have made the stench of your camps to come up into your nostrils; yet you have not returned to Me,’ says the Lord. ‘I have overthrown some among you as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah [9/11 terror attack], and you were like a firebrand plucked out of the burning; yet you have not returned to Me,’ says the Lord.

“ ‘Therefore I will do this to you, O Israel; and because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel!’ For lo, He forms the mountains and creates the wind, and declares to man what his thought is. He who makes the morning darkness, and treads upon the high places of the earth—the Lord, the God of hosts, is His name” (Amos 4:9-13).

Repentance and a return to God has to happen on an individual basis, as well as on a national level. And more importantly, it has to happen within the churches of God. We need to seek God with all our heartsdaily! We need to seek the love of God; the truth of God; the knowledge of God; the protection of God. We need to obey His voice, as found in the Word of God. God continues His plea to us—will we listen and return to God? What will we do?

“For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel, ‘Seek Me, and you shall live. But do not seek Bethel [the golden calf of sun worship], nor enter into Gilgal, and do not pass to Beersheba; for Gilgal shall surely go into exile, and Bethel shall come to nothing.

“ ‘Seek the Lord and you shall live, lest He break out like a fire on the house of Joseph [USA, UK and commonwealth countries] and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel—[all] you who turn judgment to wormwood and leave off righteousness in the earth! Seek Him Who created the Pleiades and Orion, and Who turned the deep darkness into the morning, and Him Who darkened the day into night. Seek Him Who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out on the face of the earth—the Lord is His name, Who causes destruction to flash out against the strong, and destruction against the fortress’ ” (Amos 5:4-9).

In spite of such warnings the people of ancient Israel still refused to listen. Their modern descendants today are doing the same thing! And those who try to teach what is right, who try to turn others from their evil—they are treated with hatred and scorn: “They hate him who rebukes in the gate, and they despise him who speaks uprightly. Therefore—because of your trampling upon the poor, and because you take tribute of grain from him—though you have built houses of carved stone, you shall not dwell in them; though you have planted desirable vineyards, you shall not drink wine from them. For I know your many transgressions and your many sins. They afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate. Therefore the prudent shall keep silent in that time; for it is an evil time” (verses 10-13).

Here is what we must do individually, in spite of what those in the world may do—whether they repent or stubbornly refuse to believe God: “Seek good and not evil, that you may live; and so the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as you have spoken. Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate. It may be that the Lord God of hosts will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph” (verses 14-15).

As I have said many times, remember this fundamental principle: spiritual problems and sins cannot be solved with human methods or political solutions. Unless there is a massive national repentance to God Almighty, accompanied with prayer and fasting by all—the small and great; the rich and poor; the politicians and bureaucrats; the pastors and priests; the young and old in every walk of life—and a confessing and forsaking of sins, especially the slaughter of the unborn, innocent children, God’s heavy hand of national punishment will not be lifted. Rather, His judgments will continue to come and intensify like the waves of the sea against our ungodly nations—until we are brought low and our enemies rule over us.

In spite of all these troubles, God is near—to hear our prayers of repentance when we seek Him. But we must seek God on His terms: “ ‘Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor your ways My ways,’ says the Lord. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts’ ” (Isa. 55:6-9).

Ancient King David constantly sought God. He was a man after God’s heart because he fervently desired God’s love and salvation: “One thing I have desired from the Lord, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple; for in the time of trouble [as we are now facing] He shall hide me in His pavilion, in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me upon a rock…. Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice; and be gracious unto me and answer me. When You said, Seek My face, my heart said to You, Your face, O Lord, will I seek.’ Hide not Your face from me. Turn not Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation” (Psa. 27:4-9).

Remember the commands and promises of Jesus Christ. He said, “Ask, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it shall be opened” (Matt. 7:7-8). The Greek means: We are to ask, and keep on asking. We are to seek, and keep on seeking. We are to knock, and keep on knocking.

In these critical times we need to truly draw close to God the Father and Jesus Christ with our ultimate spiritual goal in the forefronts of our minds. We need to continue to build and maintain our spiritual relationship with them through constant prayer and daily Bible study. If we do, there is no doubt that we can endure whatever the future brings—with the faith, hope, and love of God, as we develop godly character and true righteousness.

Thanksgiving: The United States and Canada are the only countries in the world that have set aside a special day of “Thanksgiving” to the true God of heaven and earth, the God of the Holy Bible. While society as a whole has lost most of the original meaning of this special day, we in the churches of God know its true meaning: everything that we have—physically and spiritually—comes from God the Father and Jesus Christ.

We know that awesome blessings came upon this nation—not because we as a people are more righteous than other people—but solely because of the promises given to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Therefore, when we observe Thanksgiving this year, in spite of all the difficulties facing us, let us be truly thankful for all the physical and spiritual blessings God has graciously bestowed upon America, His people, and His Church.

Brethren, once again, thank you for your continued love and prayers, and for reaching out to other brethren and new people by giving them CDs, DVDs, books, literature, and directing them to our websites. Thank you for your continued support through your tithes and offerings—even though we are facing difficult financial times. Without a doubt, God will surely bless us with sufficiency in all things as He has promised. May God the Father and Jesus Christ bless you with Their love and grace in all things.

With love in Christ Jesus,

Fred R. Coulter
