Dear Brethren,

The Civil Year 2020 is well under way as time marches on! As I am writing this letter, the media reports that President Trump has ordered a swift and deadly drone strike against Iran’s top general, Qassem Soleimani. He was in Baghdad traveling to the airport, after having organized attacks against the American Embassy in Baghdad. The war against terrorism is different than so-called “regular” wars. The enemy is everywhere. And once a major leader like Soleimani is killed, others rise up spewing even more hatred and vengeance. While many nations are fighting terrorism, they do not understand why there is terrorism in the first place—especially in America and the other modern descendant nations of ancient Israel. The truth is that they have all forsaken THE LIVING GOD AND HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST!

The Lesson of Solomon: God abundantly blessed ancient King Solomon of Israel, allowing him to build the Temple in Jerusalem. But Solomon became involved in sin and forsook God. Notice: “And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines. And his wives turned away his heart, for it came to pass when Solomon was old, his wives turned away his heart after other gods. And his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God as was the heart of David his father. For Solomon went after Ashtoreth, the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom, the abomination of the Ammonites; and Solomon did evil in the sight of the Lord and did not go fully after the Lord like his father David.

“Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill which is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon. And likewise, he did for all his foreign wives, and burned incense and sacrificed to their gods. And the Lord was angry with Solomon because his heart was turned from the Lord God of Israel who had appeared to him twice, and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods; and he did not keep that which the Lord commanded.

“And the Lord said to Solomon, ‘Since this has been done by you, and since you have not kept My covenant and My statutes which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you and will give it to your servant. But I will not do it in your days, for David your father’s sake, for I will tear it out of the hand of your son. Only, I will not tear away all the kingdom, but I will give one tribe to your son for David My servant’s sake, and for Jerusalem’s sake which I have chosen.’

And it came to pass the Lord stirred up an adversary against Solomon, Hadad the Edomite. He was of the king’s seed in Edom…. And God stirred up another adversary, Rezon the son of Eliadah, who fled from his lord Hadadezer king of Zobah. And he gathered men to himself and became head over a marauding band after the slaughter by David. And they went to Damascus and dwelt there and reigned in Damascus. Now he was an adversary to Israel all the days of Solomon, besides the mischief which Hadad did. And he hated Israel and reigned over Syria” (I Kings 11:3-14, 23-25).

Yes, God raised up terrorists. He did this in hopes that Solomon and all Israel, which had followed Solomon in his massive apostasy, would repent and return to God. But they did not return. It is the same today. There are terrorists and adversaries everywhere, but the modern descendants of Israel are not turning back to the Lord their God!

Things may get somewhat better for a while. But unless there is a massive return to God, our problems will only escalate in severity.

When Will Jesus Christ Return? Many of us recall when the Church was anticipating the return of Christ in 1975. Leading up to that year, there appeared to be numerous visible fulfillments of some of the prophecies of Matthew 24. The Church had been predicting that 1972 was the year the Church would be taken to a “place of safety”—followed by Jesus’ return in 1975. But it did not happen.

Since then, leaders from other church organizations predicted Christ’s return in 1988, 1989, 1995, 1998, 2000, and 2010. Back in 1918, a Protestant minister, Harold Camping, predicted that Jesus would return on May 22, following the “rapture.” When that failed, he updated it to October 22. He has since died, and none of his predictions came to pass.

Like so many, instead of letting the Scriptures interpret the Scriptures, church leaders misinterpreted the Bible and used church authority to push their 1972-1975 theory. While many ministers did not accept the theory, it was not until January 1972 that church authorities finally saw that they were wrong.

Remember, theories of men may seem logical, but they almost always miss the mark! A key to keep in mind is this: All logic may seem logical; but not all logic is biblical. On the other hand, all biblical truth is logical, when properly put together.

These various church leaders’ predictions failed because they misinterpreted the Bible. Instead of letting the Scriptures interpret the Scriptures, they trusted in their own judgment. Plus, some had their own agendas. Jesus warned in Matthew 24 that “many” would come proclaiming that He was the Christ—and would yet deceive many (verse 5). Why? Because they did not rightly divide the Word of God (II Tim. 2:15). Paul also warned of this: “For we are not like the many, who for their own profit are corrupting the Word of God” (II Cor. 2:17).

This is exactly what happens when men have their own interpretations and do not carefully check all related biblical passages. And remember, Jesus said that no one would know the day or hour of His return: “But concerning that day, and the hour, no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. Now as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it also be at the coming of the Son of man. For as in the days that were before the Flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark; and they were not aware until the Flood came and took them all away; so shall it also be at the coming of the Son of man” (Matt. 24:36-39).

The Coming Jewish Third Temple: There is one key event that must take place shortly before Jesus’ return: a third Jewish temple must be built! The Jews already have many things ready for use in this soon-coming temple (see www.templeinstitute.org). But before they can build it, God has to reveal the correct location of the temple area. While this location is known to many, the Orthodox Jewish leaders—who must make the final decision to build the temple—are blinded on this matter. Only God can change that when it is time to build. (We have a great DVD about the true temple location—be sure to order a copy!)

We need to realize that unless there is a temple, there can be no “holy of holies” in which the “abomination of desolation” can occur. Thus, when the Jews start building this temple, we can know that time is extremely short and that the “great tribulation” will soon follow. Jesus said: “Therefore, when you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (the one who reads, let him understand)…. For then shall there be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until this time, nor ever shall be again. And if those days were not limited, there would no flesh be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days shall be limited” (Matt. 24:15, 21-22).

The apostle Paul likewise confirms that there must be a third temple in order for the “abomination of desolation” to occur: “Now we beseech you, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, that you not be quickly shaken in mind, nor be troubled—neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by epistle, as if from us, saying that the day of Christ is present. Do not let anyone deceive you by any means because that day will not come unless the apostasy [the rebellion against the true God and the adoption of complete Satanism worldwide] shall come first, and the man of sin shall be revealed—the son of perdition, the one who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is an object of worship; so that he comes into the temple of God and sits down as God, proclaiming that he himself is God… For the mystery of lawlessness is already working; only there is one Who is restraining at the present time until it arises out of the midst.

And then the lawless one will be revealed (whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth, and will destroy with the brightness of His coming); even the one whose coming is according to the inner working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in those who are perishing because they did not receive the love of the truth, so that they might be saved. And for this cause, God will send upon them a powerful deception that will cause them to believe the lie, so that all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but who took pleasure in unrighteousness” (II Thess. 2:1-4, 7-12).

This will be a time of great signs and wonders—a time of satanic euphoria for the whole world. It will appear that the world is on the verge of finally solving its problems. And there will be many false “Christs”—false saviors and false prophets—adding to the rebellion and satanic deception: “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or, ‘He is there,’ do not believe it. For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and they shall present great signs and wonders, in order to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Behold, I have foretold it to you. Therefore, if they say to you, ‘Come and see! He is in the wilderness’; do not go forth. ‘Come and see! He is in the secret chambers’; do not believe it” (Matt. 24:23-26).

Other Prophetic Events to Watch: There are five major things to watch for as time moves forward. Each of these will develop into major prophetic events:

  1. The Middle East and Iran. There is tremendous turmoil throughout the Middle East—and the Jews and Jerusalem are at the center. They are hated by nearly all other countries in the region. Presently, Iran is a major source of this unrest.

  2. Europe is headed for major changes, and President Trump is pushing for them to cut their military ties to the U.S. The UK is leaving the EU. Eventually, Germany will come to the forefront as the major European power. They will be the key factor in uniting all of Europe—east and west. This will eventually lead to the rise of the biblical “Beast.”

  3. The Catholic Church is making overtures to the Muslim world with joint services and prayers—and soon a new “Chrislam” cathedral will be built in the United Arab Emirates. Pope Francis has declared that all religions are the will of God. This is setting the stage for the final one-world religion, with the pope as the head—the biblical “False Prophet.”

  4. China and the Far East nations. As America continues to decline, China will rise as the most powerful nation in the world. From China and other Asian countries, the biblical 200 million-man army will arise. These are the great armies of the sixth seal of the book of Revelation. They will be awesome in their overwhelming power, and will compose the greatest number of soldiers that will fight against Jesus Christ and the saints as we all descend from the Sea of Glass to take over the world.

  5. America and Britain—the sons of Jacob, Ephraim and Manasseh. The numerous end-time prophecies concerning modern-day Israel will continue to develop, based on how quickly or slowly our nations descend into lawlessness and gross sin.

Jesus tells us to always be watching: “Truly I say to you, this generation shall in no way pass away until all these things have taken place. The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but My words shall never pass away. But concerning that day and the hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.

“Take heed, be watching and praying. For you do not know when the time is coming. It is like a man journeying to a far country, leaving his house and giving authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and commanding the doorkeeper to watch. Be watching, therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming: at evening, or at midnight, or at the cock’s crowing, or in the morning; lest he come suddenly and find you sleeping. And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!” (Mark 13:30-37).

Noah’s Flood: In this mailing, we have a special message on the timing of Noah’s Flood. The study includes a five-page Calculated Hebrew Calendar (CHC) chart showing the day-by-day count of all the days concerning the Flood as brought out in Genesis eight. As you listen to the message, you can follow along with the chart.

The correct year of the Flood was 2369 BC, which was a leap year of 13 months or 385 days. God sealed the ark on the 10th day of the 2nd month. Inside were Noah, his wife, his three sons and their wives, and all the animals, birds, and crawling things that God sent to be preserved. They spent 402 days in the ark. By numbering each day, you will see that all the critically listed dates in Genesis eight naturally fell on the correct CHC dates—including the second 150 days, with the last day falling exactly on the first day of the first month of the second year—2368 BC. Finally, when the ground was fully dry, God unsealed the ark on the 27th day of the second month, and they all came out.

The understanding evidenced by this day-by-day chronology of the Flood proves that, from the beginning, God has always used His sacred Calculated Hebrew Calendar. He set in motion the accurate timing of His sacred Calendar on the 4th day of creation. God now uses this calendar throughout all time.

Brethren, once again we thank God for the blessing of serving you—of helping you to continue to love God and to grow in grace and knowledge every day. Thank you for your prayers for us and all the brethren. We pray for you daily—for your healing, for your protection and comfort, for you to grow in the love and grace of God, for you to love one another, and for God to be with you in everything and bless you in every way. We truly thank you for your tithes and offerings, so that together we can continue to provide the Gospel to everyone who asks without cost. God’s method is perfect. We all give to benefit others, who in turn can reciprocate with their tithes and offerings. This is God’s way. Remember, every day we are to stand in grace, walk in faith, believe in hope, and live in love.

With love in Christ Jesus,

Fred R. Coulter
