Dear Brethren,

With Passover only five and one-half weeks away, we have been busy preparing tapes and videos for the upcoming Spring Festival Season. In this mailing, we are sending you tapes for the first and last days of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, as well as for the weekly Sabbath between the holy days. We are also including the Passover and the Night to be Much Observed #4. In addition, we are including study material from the Schocken Bible, Vol. I, on the critical, Passover-related chapters of Exodus 12 and 16, and Deuteronomy 16—as well as material concerning II Chronicles 35 from the Jewish Publication Society (1955).

Included as well is Chapter 14 from The Christian Passover, which details the 12 differences between the commands for Passover and the commands for the First Day of Unleavened Bread. We are also enclosing two holy day calendar bookmarkers and two holy day pocket calendars. We will also send one more sermon on the Passover and Night to be Much Observed for the New Testament.

It is critical to understand that God never instructed us in the Scriptures to combine the 14th with the 15th (as do the Jews)—or to combine the 15th with the 14th as some erroneously have done. Either way, we end up a day short. The enclosed study material will thoroughly explain the concept of “between the setting times” (or “between the two evenings”) and how it is distinct from “sunset.” The material will also help clear up the confusion caused by KJV translation errors and Jewish tradition.

The Night to Be Much Observed: Wayne Stenhouse has finished the booklet, The Night to be Much Observed, which we announced last year; it is included in this mailing.

Passover Preparation Tapes: We have five tapes on Preparation for the Passover,as well as the Words of the New Covenant tapes. (These tapes are the same ones as the last five tapes in the Love of God series.) If you need these tapes, please call, e-mail or write the office and we will rush them to you.

Passover Ceremony Tapes: To assist you in observing the Passover—especially if you are keeping it alone or with just two or three others—we have the entire Passover Ceremony on audio and videotape. Again, if you need these, please contact us and we will rush them to you.

Feast of Unleavened Bread Coloring Book: The Burrows have been diligently working to produce a special children’s coloring book about the Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread. If you need copies, please call, e-mail or write the office and we will rush them to you.

Occult Holidays or God’s Holy Days—Which?: While it has taken much more time to write this book than originally anticipated, we are nearing its completion. We are working on the conclusion and should have the finished book to the printers no later than just before Passover. We will automatically send you one copy. However, if you need more than one copy, please fill out the order form below and return it to us.

Because of various humanly devised doctrines and interpretations concerning the Passover, a number of brethren have written that they are at this time re-reading The Christian Passover. This is an excellent idea, because it is often difficult to remember the detailed information contained in this book. Through the years, many have tried to refute the information contained in The Christian Passover. However, no one has ever been able to disprove any of the material. Of course, if there were any part of The Christian Passover that can be shown to be in error, then we would certainly change it.

We must always be seeking the truth of God as found in His Word. All that we do, say or write must be based on that standard. If we have any other motive, then we are putting ourselves in a position contrary to God. When that happens, personal interpretations and private doctrines begin to replace the truth of the God-breathed Scriptures. We end up telling God what to do, rather than obeying what the Father and Jesus Christ command us to do—rather than living “by every word of God.”

Too many people attempt to “improve” on what God has preserved in His Word—by twisting the Scriptures, making false interpretations, adding traditions or seeking to justify a previously held position.

This is what Job did, and God had some powerful words for Job when he demanded that God speak to him: “Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said, ‘Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.’ Then Job answered the LORD, and said, ‘Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth. Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.’

Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said, ‘Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous? Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him? Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty. Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him. Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place. Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret. Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee’ ” (Job 40:1-14).

This is God’s answer to all those who would lift themselves above the Word of God.

The whole lesson of the New Covenant Passover for eternal life—the footwashing, the partaking of the bread and wine—is thus summarized by Jesus: “Truly, truly I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, you do not have life in yourselves. The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up in the last day; for My flesh is truly food, and My blood is truly drink. The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood is dwelling in Me, and I in him. As the living Father has sent Me, and I live by the Father; so also the one who eats Me shall live by Me” (John 6:53-57).

Brethren, we again thank you for all your love, prayers and continued support through your tithes and offerings. We are continuing to reach many brethren, as well as new people. May God continue to bless you with His love, grace and mercy in all that you do.

With love in Christ Jesus,

Fred R. Coulter
