In the latter times some shall apostatize from the faith,

and shall follow deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons! (1-Tim. 4:1)

Let’s come to the book of Jude, because I think this describes very accurately what has happened. Why is it that there is such hatred and rebellion and absolute vitriolic evil that they spew out of their mouth toward anyone who wants to do good?

Now, here in the book of Jude, we see how this applies for today and how this applies for our lives and what’s going on in the world all around us.

Jude 1: “Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to the called saints, sanctified by God the Father and kept in Jesus Christ.”

Now, that one verse tells us an awful lot about salvation. We’re sanctified by God, that is God the Father. It tells us in John 17, that we’re sanctified by the Truth, which is the Word of God. We’ll look at that a little later.

Verse 2: “Mercy and peace and love be multiplied to you.”

Then he starts writing what was happening in his day, very similar to what we’re experiencing today.

Verse 3: “Beloved, when personally exerting all my diligence to write to you concerning the common salvation, I was compelled to write to you, exhorting you to fervently fight for the faith…”

That’s what we have to do. We can’t compromise the faith. We can’t go against it. And the faith is:

  • loving God

  • believing God

  • keeping His Commandments

  • doing what is right

and for us as a group:

  • preaching the Gospel

  • serving the brethren

All of that’s all part of it!

“…fervently fight for the faith, which once for all time has been delivered to the saints. For certain men have stealthily crept in…” (vs 3-4).

Now, it always starts in the pulpit. And you look at it today. Those that call themselves ‘Christian’ are worshiping Satan! You look at some of the things that they do. Where is Christ? He’s not there!

  • they have drag queen presentations at church

  • they hire homosexuals to be preachers

  • lesbians to be ministers

and say, ‘We’re delivered to do all of this evil. That is insanity!

“…Those who long ago have been written about, condemning them to this judgment. They are ungodly men… [and women, an amazing thing indeed] …who are perverting the grace of our God…” (v 4)—by saying:

Oh, if you just say this little prayer, you’ll be saved, and you’re all set to go to heaven.

The biggest satanic lie of all! Because no one brings Jesus into their lives; they must come to Jesus and come into His life!

So, you see how these clever sounding counterfeits and lies come in!

Verse 5: “But I myself want to remind you, though you once understood this, that the Lord, after saving a people out of the land of Egypt, the second time destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels who did not keep their own original domain, but deserted their habitation, He is holding in eternal bonds under darkness unto the judgment of the Great Day” (vs 5-6).

And that’s coming! That’s what we’re seeing. A lot of what we are seeing is open demon worship and possession coming right in to the churches that they call Christian. But there are no more Christian than Muslims.

Verse 7: “Just as Sodom and Gomorrah…”

That’s what we’re doing right now: Sodom and Gomorrah! Now let me tell you the insanity that comes with that. People don’t realize it, but:

  • whenever they transgress the Laws of God concerning sexuality

  • every time they commit adultery

  • every time they come into situations of same-sex this and that

  • and this transgender thing is complete craziness

Men cannot become women, and women cannot become men, because God has set the genes and chromosomes fixed! Like this one who assassinated Charlie Kirk, he was living with a transgender who was transitioning from man to woman. Well, that’s complete insanity!

Rebellion and insanity is the way it is now! Look at what’s happening with the political things in the city of New York: they’re about ready to elect a full-blown communist! Based on:

  • lies

  • deceit

  • Sodom and Gomorrah sex

You can look back in history; all of this was started in America by the Supreme Court in 1954 when they ruled that whatever anyone does in the privacy of their abode, that they can’t be judged for it. Then in 1972, when the Supreme Court 7 to 2 legalized same-sex marriage. That has led to the rebellion, and that has led to the insanity that we’re now experiencing.

“…having given themselves over to sexual debaucheries, and having gone after different flesh, are themselves exhibited as a perpetual example of undergoing the punishment of eternal fire” (v 7)—and God destroyed them all!

  • What does it say of us today in Isa. 1?

  • How many times have we been there this year? Quite a few times!

Every time you read something like this in the Bible, where God talks about the heavens and the earth, He is bringing to bear

  • the very power of His creation

  • all the laws that He has created

  • what He’s given to Israel

  • what He’s put into the Bible

Isaiah 1:2: “Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for the LORD has spoken, ‘I have reared and brought up children, but they have rebelled against Me.’”

  • we don’t need that

  • we can do anything we want

  • we’re well intended

  • Why do you discriminate?

  • Why do you do this?

  • Why do you preach about God?

Rebelled!

What happens with rebellion? The punishment comes! So, God says, that we’re actually worse than animals.

Verse 3: “‘The ox knows his owner, and the donkey his master’s crib; but Israel does not know Me; My people do not understand.’” They don’t know what is happening!

In looking at this situation where they’re going to have this memorial for Charlie Kirk, I wonder how long it’s going to take for all the Sunday-keepers to capture it and take it off course. Just keep that in mind for the future. Here’s what they have done”

Verse 4: “Ah, sinful nation, a people burdened with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the LORD; they have provoked the Holy One of Israel to anger; they have gone away backward.”

Look at all the problems and difficulties that we have:

  • Do we want any more?

  • Can it get any worse?

  • Can the politicians get any more wrapped up in their evil?

Now, there are some politicians out there trying to do good, but look what happens to them.

Verse 5: “Why should you be stricken anymore? You will revolt more and more; the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.”

  • look at all the sickness

  • look at all the disease

  • look at all the things that are against us

Verse 6: “From the sole of the foot even to the top of the head there is no soundness in it; only wounds and bruises and putrefying sores; they have not been closed, nor bound up, nor soothed with ointment. Your country is a desolation… [it’s getting there very quickly] …your cities are burned with fire….” (vs 6-7).

That’s interesting, because what they did, that’s talking about offering the children to the pagan gods. Well, today, the greatest number of murders are abortions! That’s what He’s referring to here.

Verse 9: “Except the LORD of hosts had left us a very small remnant…”

That’s talking about the Church. That’s why we’re small; that’s why we’re scattered, because the world is so wicked.

“…we would have been as Sodom; we would have become like Gomorrah. Hear the Word of the LORD, rulers of Sodom; give ear to the Law of our God, people of Gomorrah” (vs 9-10).

That’s the only way it’s going to be. Let’s see what happens here in the book of Jeremiah, chapter 2. It talks about, in the first part of this, how God brought them in to a beautiful land; think of that in relationship to America, and think about what we have done to it! An amazing thing, indeed.

Jeremiah 2:8—God says: “The priests did not say, ‘Where is the LORD?’ And they who handle the Law did not know Me…” Just like Jude said:

  • they crept in

  • they changed the meaning

  • then they eliminated it

Verse 10: “For pass over the coasts of Kittim, and see; and send to Kedar, and carefully consider, and see if there has ever been such a thing as this. Has a nation changed their gods who are yet no gods?....” (vs 10-11). Think about that!

  • How many of the pagan nations hold on to their gods? They don’t change them; they keep them!

  • What happens to the people of Israel?

Verse 12: “‘Be amazed, O heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid; be utterly desolated,’ says the LORD, ‘For My people have committed two evils; [#1]they have forsaken Me, the Fountain of living waters, and [#2]hewn out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that cannot hold water’” (vs 12-13)—that’s a fake religion!

That’s what we have. Just look at them now, they’re getting worse and worse.

Verse 14: “Is Israel a servant? Or is he a servant of the house? Why has he become a prey?”

Now, he talks about what’s going to happen to them. This is automatic. This is what happens. And what you need to understand is this: Whenever there is wrong sex practices—Sodom and Gomorrah, and evil and adultery—it affects the mind, people become rebellious! THEN if they continue in it, they become insane! That’s what we’re viewing right now.

Verse 19: “‘Your own evil shall correct you, and your backslidings shall reprove you; therefore, know and see that it is an evil and bitter thing that you have forsaken the LORD your God, and that My fear is not in you,’ says the Lord GOD of hosts.”

That’s quite a thing! That’s how it happens! Look at the whole nation, perfect description of what is going on.

Jer. 6 & 7—same thing. We’re going to see all kinds of religious things with this dedication to Charlie Kirk. Now, he deserves it because of what he has done. But:

  • How is that going to last from now on?

  • What is going to happen?

  • Is there going to be a great repentance?

You know, Turning Point is coming close to repenting. But will they repent? Who knows? Again, notice how serious that all of this is.

Jeremiah 6:17: “Also, I set watchmen over you, saying, ‘Hearken to the sound of the ram’s horn.’ But they said, ‘We will not hearken.’ Therefore, hear, you nations, and know, O congregation, what will happen to them? Hear, O earth…” (vs 17-19)

Now, people don’t understand that the collective sins that the collective sins of any nation or group of people affect the earth!.

Verse 19: “Hear, O earth, behold, I will bring evil on this people, even the fruit of their thoughts…”

Deut. 28, as you know, is the chapter of the blessings and the cursings.

  • Blessings if they would do right

  • Blessings if they would follow God

That’s what everyone wants. But are they willing to come to God His way?

Deuteronomy 28:27: “The LORD will strike you with the boils of Egypt, and with the hemorrhoids, and with the scab, and with the itch, of which you cannot be healed. The LORD shall strike you with madness…” (vs 27-28)—insanity, because of rebellion! It goes like this:

  • from sin to rejecting the Word of God

  • to rejecting the Word of God to rebelling

  • from rebellion to insanity

That’s what we have right here!

Verse 28: “The LORD shall strike you with madness and blindness and astonishment of heart.” All coming and you will see that’s the way that it comes.

Madness never works. Solomon tried it. You find that in the book of Ecclesiastes. He wanted to find out what madness would do; it’s insanity! Doesn’t produce anything.

God wants us, as we find in 1-Tim. 2, with the Spirit of God to have sound mindedness!

The book of Micah is interesting, indeed! It describes exactly what things are today. An amazing thing, indeed! Isn’t it something that the Word of God is so accurate that written centuries and centuries ago it still applies today?

Micah 6:3: “O My people, what have I done to you?....” What has God done to you? He’s given you:

  • a good land

  • plenty of food

  • plenty of water

  • plenty of wealth

  • everything

“…And in what way have I made you weary? Testify against Me!.... [no one can testify against God] …For I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of slaves; and I sent Moses, Aaron, and Miriam before you. O My people, remember now what Balak king of Moab planned, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim to Gilgal, so that you may know the righteousness of the LORD” (vs 3-5).

Verse 9: “Hearken! The LORD cries unto the city, and it is wisdom to have regard for Your name. ‘Hear the rod and Him who has appointed it. Are there yet treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked…’” (vs 9-10). That’s what they want!

They want the wealth of wickedness and they want the sex practices of Sodom and Gomorrah! that’s what we have today right here.

Verse 10: “Are there yet treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is abominable? Shall I count pure those with wicked balances, and those with a bag of deceitful weights? For her rich men are full of violence, and her inhabitants have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth. Therefore, I also have made you sick by striking you, making you desolate because of your sins…. [that’s exactly what we have] …You shall eat, but not be satisfied…” (vs 10-14).

Look at all the food we have that is non-food! Poor RFK Jr. is trying to make America healthy again and he’s having a difficult time.

Verse 15: “You shall sow, but you shall not reap; you shall tread the olives, but you shall not anoint yourself with oil; and make sweet wine, but shall not drink wine, For the statutes of Omri are kept…” (vs 15-16).

Now who was Omri? False god! That’s what they were following; that’s what we’re doing today.

“…and you walk in their counsels, so that I should make you a desolation and your inhabitants a hissing; therefore, you shall bear the reproach of My people” (v 16).

Micah 7:1: “Woe is me! For I am like the gatherings of summer fruits, like the grape gleanings of the vintage. There is no cluster to eat; but my soul desires the first-ripe fruit. The good man has perished from the earth, and there is none upright among men, for they all lie in wait for blood; each one hunts his brother with a net. They use both hands diligently to do evil…. [that’s what we see] …The ruler asks for a bribe, and the judge for a reward; and the great man speaks the evil desire of his soul. Thus they weave it together. The best of them is like a briar; the most upright is sharper than a hedge of thorns. The day of your watchmen and your punishment comes; now they shall be confused” (vs 1-4).

Here it is perfect description of what is happening today:

Verse 5: “Put no trust in a friend; put no hope in a guide; keep the door of your mouth from her who lies in your bosom, for the son dishonors the father; the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. A man’s enemies are the men of his own household” (vs 5-6). So, God is going to judge for it!

Verse 9: “I will bear the indignation of the LORD because I have sinned against Him, until He pleads my cause and executes judgment for me. He will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold His righteousness. Then my enemy shall see it; and shame shall cover her who said to me, ‘Where is the LORD your God?’ My eyes shall behold her; now she shall be trampled like the mud of the streets” (vs 9-10).

So, Micah lays all of that out in quite a clear and precise way. Let’s see something else why this happens in Ezek. 13, because it all starts right there:

  • the pastors

  • the teachers

  • the politicians

Ezekiel 13:1: “And the Word of the LORD came to me, saying, ‘Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who prophesy. And say to those who prophesy out of their own hearts, “Hear the Word of the LORD; thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing! O Israel, your prophets are like the foxes in the ruins. You have not gone up into the breach, nor built the wall for the house of Israel, that it might stand in the battle in the Day of the LORD. They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, “The LORD says.” And the LORD has not sent them; but they hoped to confirm their word’” (vs 1-6). They think: ‘If we do it long enough it will work.’

Verse 7: “‘Did you not see a vain vision, and speak a lying divination? When you say, “The LORD says”; although I have not spoken.’ Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Because you have spoken vanity and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you,’ says the Lord GOD. ‘And My hand shall be against the prophets who see vanity and who divine a lie. They shall not be in the assembly of My people, nor shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, nor shall they enter into the land of Israel. And you shall know that I am the Lord GOD’” (vs 7-9).

This is what happens all the time, all the way through the book of Ezekiel it says “…And you shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

Verse 10: “Because, even because they have seduced My people, saying, ‘Peace,’ and there was no peace—and when anyone builds a weak wall they cover it with whitewash. Say to those who cover it with whitewash, that it shall fall; there will be a flooding rain; and you, O great hailstones, shall fall, and a stormy wind will break forth. And, behold, when the wall has fallen, shall it not be said to you, ‘Where is the whitewash with which you have covered it?’” (vs 10-12).

Verse 13: “Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, ‘I will cause a stormy wind to break forth in My fury. And there shall be a flooding rain in My anger, and hailstones in fury to destroy it.’”

  • A little bad weather?

  • What have we been having?

There it is right there!

Verse 16: “‘The prophets of Israel who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her, when there is no peace,’ says the LORD.”

All that’s going to come down! In Jer. 23 we see the same thing we’ve been here before, but what they do they come along and say: ‘everything’s going to be just fine, everything’s going to be just fine.’ but it’s not!

Jer. 23—here we have the same thing you can put in your notes there Ezek. 34 about the shepherds who feed themselves and don’t feed the people; and then look at the net worth of all of those who are the leading evangelists in Protestantism today. Jer. 23 is quite a chapter because it covers an awful lot!

Jeremiah 23:9: “As for the prophets my heart within me is broken; all my bones shake. I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine has overcome because of the LORD and because of the words of His Holiness. For the land is full of adulterers….” (vs 9-10).

The great sin by the thousands; by the millions. Stop and think how God is going to judge us for all the innocent blood from abortions, 80-million just in America, not talking about the rest of the world!

People get all upset over the difficulties and things that go on, but how about killing 80-million infants! Now they have it so you don’t even need to go to the doctor; you can take a pill! That is one of the most evil things that has ever happened in America or in the world!

Verse 10: “For the land is full of adulterers. Because of swearing the land mourns; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and they wield power unjustly.”

Verse 11: “‘For both prophet and priest are ungodly… [and it shouldn’t be in God’s house, but they’re not] …yea, in My house I have found their evil,’ says the LORD. ‘So their way shall be to them as slippery ways in the darkness; they shall be driven on, and fall in their way; for I will bring evil on them, even the year of their judgment,’ says the LORD. ‘And I have seen repulsive things in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied by Baal and caused My people Israel to go astray’” (vs 11-13).

Baal is sun-worship; that’s what we have now! Think about how God has held back His hand for how long, because all these:

  • preachers

  • ministers

  • teachers

  • professors

  • politicians

have been evil and corrupted by:

  • lying

  • cheating

  • stealing

All of this “…prophesied by Baal and caused my people to go astray.’ Just like I’ve been wondering about this memorial with Charlie Kirk I’ll watch it tomorrow. But where is it going to be when Christmas comes? Right back in the ways of evil!

Verse 14: “I have also seen in the prophets of Jerusalem a horrible thing; they commit adultery and walk in lies. They also strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that none returns from his evil; they are all of them like Sodom to Me, and her inhabitants like Gomorrah”—and that brings on insanity!

It starts with leaving God and then rebelling against God, and that leads to insanity like we have today or being stricken with madness as God says in Deut. 28.

Verse 15: “Therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets, ‘Behold, I will feed them wormwood, and make them drink poisonous water; for from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has gone forth into all the land.’…. [everywhere] …Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you vain; they speak a vision from their own heart, not out of the mouth of the LORD. They still say to those who despise Me.’ The LORD has said, ‘You shall have peace!’ And they say to everyone who walks after the imagination of his own heart…” (vs 15-17).

  • one man is saying that Jesus is going to return in September 2025

  • others are saying the Millennium has already begun

  • the rapture is going to take place

all lies!

“‘…They make you vain; they speak a vision from their own heart, not out of the mouth of the LORD. They still say to those who despise Me.’ The LORD has said, ‘You shall have peace!’….” (vs 16-17).

Just like this idiot Kimmel tried to say that the one who assassinated Charlie Kirk was from the MAGA movement. Then another reporter said of the transgender partner of the assassin, ‘Oh they had such a loving relationship.’ Really? You can’t get any more profoundly fulfilling the prophecies than that, can you?

Verse 18: “For who has stood in the counsel of the LORD to see and hear His Word?....”

That’s what we are to do, all the ministers and teachers of God!

  • I don’t know if any of these Sunday-keepers are capable of repenting

  • I don’t know if any of these homosexual Catholic priests are going to stand up there and not take the mass because of their sexual behavior

  • I don’t know what’s going to happen with all of these people except that they’re going to die terrible deaths because of:

  • transgenderism

  • rebellion

  • insanity

Verse 19: “Behold, the tempest of the LORD has gone forth in fury, a whirling tempest. It shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked. The anger of the LORD shall not return, until He has executed and until He has performed the purposes of His heart; in the latter days you shall understand it perfectly” (vs 19-20).

Here’s what everyone needs to think about all of those in the world: all of those who go out for these late night encounters or thievery or bribery.

Verse 24: “‘Can anyone hide himself in secret places so that I shall not see him?’ says the LORD….”

Is there any secret that will not be known? That’s what everyone needs to know, understand and think about!

“…‘Do I not fill the heavens and earth?’ says the LORD.” (v 24).Of course:

  • He knows when a sparrow falls

  • He knows when sin has been committed

  • He knows when bribery has been fulfilled

  • He knows when the lying preachers preach

  • He knows when the corrupt politicians receive their money

  • He knows when they’re plotting to scheme to destroy little children in school with sexualization

God knows it all and sees it all, and we have progressed from sinfulness to rebellion to insanity! You just watch the news and see it; it’s exactly what is happening!

Verse 25: “I have heard what the prophets said, who prophesy lies in My name, saying, ‘I have dreamed, I have dreamed.’”

That’s all you hear on Facebook; that’s all you hear on Daystar and TBN!

Verse 26: “How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies and who are prophets of the deceit of their own heart? They scheme to cause My people to forget My name by their dreams, which they tell, each one to his neighbor, as their fathers have forgotten My name for Baal” (vs 26-27).

Here’s the key for all of us as ministers and this is what is important:

Verse 28: “‘The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream. And he who has My Word… [the Word of God] …let him speak My Word faithfully…. [that’s what it comes down to right here]…What is the chaff to the wheat?’ says the LORD. ‘Is not My Word like a fire?’ says the LORD, ‘and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets who steal My words each one from his neighbor. Behold, I am against the prophets who use their tongues and say, “He says,” when I did not say. Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams and tell them, and cause My people to go astray by their lies and by their wantonness. Yet, I did not send them nor command them; therefore, they shall not profit this people at all,’ says the LORD. ‘And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask you, saying, “What is the oracle of the LORD?”….’” (vs 28-33).

Because God is going to lead them now then you can add in under that:

  • all the politicians

  • all of the professors in the colleges

  • all the teachers in the public schools

  • all of the philosophers

  • all of the great men were at a time when they’re so overwhelmed with Sodom and Gomorrah that we have gone from rebellion to insanity!

(break@45:18)

This is what we need to look at, some of the things we need to do to keep from being frustrated with everything that’s going on in the world.

Here’s the difference, because we still have to remain faithful, as it says there in Jer. 23.

Proverbs 14:5: “A faithful witness will not lie…” Now, that’s quite a thing!

Verse 25: “A true witness delivers souls, but a deceitful witness speaks lies.”

Of course, that’s how everything gets all mixed up and no justice ever takes place.

Proverbs 16:11[transcriber’s correction]: A just weight and balance are the LORD’S; all the weights of the bag are His work. It is an abomination for kings to commit wickedness, for the throne is established by righteousness” (vs 11-12).

That shows what we need to be doing and things we need to take care of in the way that they need to be.

Verse 13: “Righteous lips are the delight of kings, and they love him who speaks what is right.”

Now, think about that relationship with each other and with God. So, this is how we survive in this world where insanity goes on!

Verse 17: “The way of the upright is to turn away from evil…”

  • constantly live God’s way

  • constantly do what is right

“…he who keeps his way preserves his soul. Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall” (vs 17-18).

And that’s what we’re going to see take place with all of these things that are going on and the way that the world is so right now in rebellion and insanity against God. Now, for us:

  • we are to have sound-mindedness

  • we are to have Truth

  • we are to live Truth

  • we are to follow the way of God

in everything that we do!

Jesus had encountered those who believed in Him, and it’s much like the world today. There are people who say they believe in Jesus, but they’re NOT willing to do what He says!

John 7—let’s see what Jesus said to all of the Jews who question: how did He know what He knows?

John 7:15: “And the Jews were amazed, saying, ‘How does this Man know letters, having never been schooled?’”

Verse 16: “Jesus answered them and said, ‘My doctrine is not Mine, but His Who sent Me. If anyone desires to do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it is from God, or whether I speak from My own self. The one who speaks of himself is seeking his own glory; but He Who seeks the glory of Him Who sent Him is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him’” (vs 16-18).

John 8—there were a lot of Jews who believed in Jesus. He’s talking about they wanted to know:

  • who He was

  • where He came from

  • what He’s doing

John 8:27: “But they did not know that He was speaking to them of the Father. Then Jesus said to them, ‘When you have lifted up the Son of man… [He’s telling them, ‘You’re going to crucify Me] …then you yourselves shall know that I AM…’” (vs 27-28).

He was God manifested in the flesh, and He took on human nature like all of us have.

“…and that I do nothing of Myself. But as the Father taught Me, these things I speak. And He Who sent Me is with Me…. [that’s what it has to be with us in everything that we do] …The Father has not left Me alone, because I always do the things that please Him” (vs 28-29). There is the way that Christ has laid it out for us!

Verse 30: “As He spoke these things, many believed in Him. Therefore, Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in Him…” (vs 30-31).

Now, here’s a perfect example of the difference in professing a belief and actually believing!

  • profession means you recognize

  • believing means that you believe and you obey

So, He told them this:

“…‘IF you continue in My Word… [the whole message of God] …you are truly My disciples” (v 31).

Notice what else, because we have the onslaught of:

  • lies

  • rejection

  • rebellion

  • insanity

that we’re confronted with today!

Verse 32: “And you shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall set you free.” He’s talking about:

  • set you free from sin

  • set you free from Satan the devil

  • set you free from all of the things that are in the world that are enticing and try and take you away from God

So, they had their answer! You know what they said:

Verse 33: “They answered Him, ‘We are Abraham’s seed, and have never been in bondage to anyone….’”

Yet, they were in slavery to the Romans themselves as they occupied Jerusalem and all of Judea.

“…‘What do You mean by saying, “You shall become free”?’ Jesus answered them, ‘Truly, truly I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a servant of sin’” (vs 33-34).

That’s what we’re dealing with in all of these things; the servant of sin! Do a lot of people who are servants of sin know they’re servants of sin? No, because they’re doing what is right in their own eyes! And remember this: the good that comes from The Tree of The Knowledge of Good and Evil always leads to destruction! Always does!

Verse 34: “Jesus answered them, ‘Truly, truly I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a servant of sin. And the servant does not live in the house forever; but the Son lives forever. Therefore, IF the Son shall set you free, you shall truly be free” (vs 34-36). Now, that’s the whole process of:

  • repentance

  • baptism

  • receiving the Holy Spirit

  • living by every Word of God

  • loving God

  • believing God

Verse 37: “I know that you are Abraham’s seed; but you are seeking to kill Me, because My words do not enter into your minds.”

Quite an amazing thing, isn’t it? That’s how people become insane, because none of the words of God enter into their lives! And they really do not take seriously what Jesus said, ‘Man shall note live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God shall man live!’ So, there it is, it comes back again and again and again!

Verse 35: “And the servant does not live in the house forever; but the Son lives forever. Therefore, if the Son shall set you free, you shall truly be free” (vs 35-36).

Free from what? Free from practicing and living in sin!

Verse 38: “I speak the things that I have seen from My Father, and you do the things that you have seen from your father.

Isn’t it amazing that those who are locked into Satan’s way become absolutely adamant that they are right? They were seeking to kill Jesus; Amazing thing!

Verse 39: “They answered and said to Him, ‘Our father is Abraham.’ Jesus said to them, ‘IF you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham.’” What did Abraham do?

  • he obeyed God

  • he kept His Commandments

  • he obeyed His voice

  • he kept His laws and His statutes

and, most of all

  • he believed God

Verse 40: “‘But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has spoken the Truth to you, which I have heard from God; Abraham did not do this. You are doing the works of your father.’ Then they said to Him, ‘We have not been born of fornication….’” (vs 40-41). So, they heard the thing, how Jesus was born, and so forth.

“…‘We have one Father, and that is God.’ Therefore, Jesus said to them, ‘IF God were your Father, you would love Me, because I proceeded forth and came from God. For I have not come of Myself, but He sent Me. Why don’t you understand My speech? Because you cannot bear to hear My words” (vs 41-43).

This is exactly what happens when you reach the point of rebellion, and you’re moving into insanity. When you move into insanity, you want to kill your opposition. that’s exactly what they’re doing here.

Don’t you think if you’re following Satan, the devil, you’re insane? Yes, indeed!

Verse 44: “You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you desire to practice. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the Truth because there is no Truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he is speaking from his own self; for he is a liar, and the father of it

All of those things we talk about deceit and lying and all of the things that are not true, they all come from Satan the devil, and then from human nature, which is the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked!

So, all of these words of God tie in together to show what we need to do and how we need to live.

Verse 45: “And because I speak the Truth, you do not believe Me. Which one of you can convict Me of sin? But if I speak the Truth, why don’t you believe Me?” (vs 45-46).

And remember what we repeated over and over again:

  • believe God

  • obey God

  • love God

That’s all contained right here in what we’re reading in John 8. This is very important:

Verse 47 “The one who is of God hears the words of God…. [you will listen, and the words will be rightly divided and put together] …For this reason you do not hear, because you are not of God.’”

Verse 48: “Then the Jews answered and said to Him, ‘Are we not right in saying that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?’ Jesus answered, ‘I do not have a demon. But I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me. Yet, I do not seek My own glory; there is One Who seeks and judges. Truly, truly I say to you, IF anyone keeps My words, he shall not see death forever” (vs 48-51).

Doesn’t say they won’t die. They won’t not taste of death forever!

1-John 3:6: “Everyone who dwells in Him does not practice sin; anyone who practices sin has not seen Him, nor has known Him. Little children, do not allow anyone to deceive you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous. The one who practices sin is of the devil because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God appeared that He might destroy the works of the devil” (vs 6-8).

That’s quite an interesting thing because in order to destroy them, what does God have to do? Make sure it gets rid of all of them. A New Heaven and a New Earth.

Verse 9: “ Everyone who has been begotten by God does not practice sin…”

Now, that’s the whole key that we’re to really work on and remember. We don’t practice sin. It doesn’t say we won’t sin, but when we sin, we have Jesus Christ the Righteous Who will forgive us our sins IF we repent.

“…does not practice sin, because His seed of begettal is dwelling within him, and he is not able to practice sin because he has been begotten by God. By this standard are manifest the children of God and the children of the devil” (vs 9-10).

Very interesting saying. All of those who are in rebellion and insanity against God are the children of the devil!

We have in Eph. 2, that that is the ‘prince of the power of the air, that spirit that is working within the children of disobedience.’ Why? Because they’re the children of the devil!

“…Everyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, and neither is the one who does not love his brother. For this is the message that you heard from the beginning: that we should love one another; not as Cain, who was of the wicked one, and murdered his own brother” (vs 10-12).

Then it comes down here, telling us how we should live and what we should do and the way it should be in our lives.

2-John is quite a little epistle, indeed, and tells us an awful lot. It connects all of these things together.

2-John 1: “The elder to the chosen lady... [I don’t know who that is; maybe it’s just a reference to the Church in general] …and her children, whom I love [#1]in Truth, and not I alone, but also all those who have known [#2]the Truth.

I want you to zero in on Truth throughout 2-John & 3-John, because this is the thing that is going to keep us in the way we need to go! The Truth of God!

Verse 2: “For the sake of [#3]the Truth that is dwelling in us, and shall be with us forever: Grace, mercy, and peace shall be with us from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in [#4]Truth and love” (vs 2-3).

Then we have love. This is the love of God that we keep His Commandments. Then he says this:

Verse 4: “I rejoiced exceedingly that I have found among your children those who are [#5] walking in Truth” What is truth?

  • the Word of God

  • the Commandments of God

  • all the things that are in the Bible

  • IF properly put together

  • IF rightly studied

  • IF rightly understood

  • IF you live by it

THEN you’re walking in the Truth! You’re not going to get caught up in all of this rebellion which leads to insanity.

“…walking in Truth, exactly as we received Commandment from the Father. And now I beseech you, lady, not as though I am writing a new Commandment to you, but that which we have observed from the beginning, that we love one another. And this is the love of God: that we walk according to His Commandments….” (vs 4-6).

  • walk as a way of life

  • walk in the Truth of God

  • believe God

and we won’t get caught up in and we’ll be able to resist the things in the world! Resist all of the things that are taking place. We can understand why it’s going on, and we can avoid it.

Verse 6: “And this is the love of God: that we walk according to His Commandments. This is the Commandment, exactly as you heard from the beginning, that you might walk in it, because many deceivers have entered into the world” (vs 6-7).

Same warning as Jude, many deceivers! Jesus said they would come in His name and deceive many.

Now, he also says that there are many antichrists. So, they had quite a pitch battle going on. Just before the close of the apostolic era, with those trying to change it.

Verse 7: “Because many deceivers have entered into the world; those who do not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh.”

We find this also in 1-Tim. 3, and this is quite a thing.

1-Timothy 3:14: “These things I am writing to you, hoping to come to you shortly; but if I should delay, you have these things in writing, so that you may know how one is obligated to conduct oneself in the house of God, which is the Church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the Truth” (vs 14-15).

The Truth always verifies the Truth. Now, just a little quick one to bring out.

You will hear them say, in reference to Charlie Kirk, that he’s ‘with the Lord.’ And they go back to Phil. 1, where Paul said, that ‘I’m in a conflict whether to come to you or die or be with the Lord.’ So, they read that and they say, ‘See, Charlie is with the Lord just like Paul was.’ Not true! IF anyone dies in the faith, what are they looking forward to? The resurrection! So, when will you be with the Lord? Not until the resurrection!

Now, they don’t deliberately mislead you to deceive you, because they don’t put the whole number of Scriptures together to fully understand. Jesus said that ‘all that are in the grave shall hear My voice, and come forth!’

  • those who have done right, those who live the right way, to a resurrection of life

  • those who have done evil, to a resurrection of judgment

So, these things have to be grounded in the Church, which is:

“…the pillar and foundation of the Truth. And undeniably, great is the mystery of Godliness: God was manifested in the flesh…” (vs 15-16).

And we find out how that was done in Phil. 2; He divested himself of being God to come as a human being with human nature to be that sacrifice of God for the sins of the world!

Jesus said, ‘I lay My life down willingly. No one takes it from Me. But I lay it down.’

That’s amazing! That’s why it’s called the mystery of God; God manifested in the flesh!

“…God was manifested in the flesh, was justified in the Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among the Gentiles, was believed on in the world, was received up in glory” (v 16).

Now, isn’t it interesting? Look at the beginning of the next chapter:

1-Timothy 4:1: “Now, the Spirit tells us explicitly that in the latter times some shall apostatize from the faith, and shall follow deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.”

That’s what we’re dealing with today, with rebellion and insanity, doctrine of demons!

Verse 2: “Speaking lies in hypocrisy…”

All you have to do is just watch the news and watch all the followers of the satanic Democrat party, and you will see that’s what it is. Then you go to the religious channels, and you will see that’s what it is. And then how many things concerning relations between human beings. You go to schools, and that’s how it is,

Verse 2: “Speaking lies in hypocrisy, their consciences having been cauterized with a hot iron.”

2-Cor. 11—let’s see what Jesus that most of the world is actually following! We know that in 2-Cor. 4:4 it says that Satan the devil is ‘the god of this world.’ They think they are following God. This is what we see today, starting way back then!

2-Corinthians 11:1: “I would that you might bear with me in a little nonsense; but indeed, do bear with me. For I am jealous over you with the jealousy of God because I have espoused you to one husband, so that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent deceived Eve…” (vs 1-3).

  • very clever

  • very enticing

  • appealing to what people want

Didn’t it sound appealing when Satan told them, Well, if you eat of this tree, a fruit of this tree, you will be like God, and you can decide right and wrong, good and evil. Amazing! Isn’t that the same thing we have today? Exactly! Everyone thinking that their way is the way.

“…as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds might be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ” (v 3).

That’s the start of insanity IF your minds are corrupted:

  • by wrong things

  • by wrong thoughts

  • by wrong doctrines

  • by wrong beliefs

Verse 4: “For indeed, if someone comes preaching another Jesus…”

That’s what we have today, another Jesus. Once in a while, they come close. That’s why Charlie Kirk was pretty good. Came pretty close. He even started keeping the Sabbath as a result of Dennis Prager from Prager University.

“…another Jesus, whom we did not preach, or you receive a different spirit… [from the prince of the power of the air that works in the children of disobedience] …which you did not receive. or a different gospel, which you did not accept, you put up with it as something good” (v 4).

Verse 5: “But I consider myself in no way inferior to those highly exalted so-called apostles. For although I may be unpolished in speech, yet, I am not in knowledge; for in all things I have demonstrated this to you. Now, did I commit sin by humbling myself so that you might be exalted, because I preached the Gospel of God to you freely? I robbed other churches, receiving wages from them for ministering to you. And when I was present with you and in need, I was not a burden to anyone (for the brethren who came from Macedonia fully supplied my needs)… (vs 5-9).

Verse 13[transcriber’s correction]: “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers who are transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.” We are going to see a lot of that take place again:

  • happened down through time

  • repeated itself over and over again

  • happened in the Churches of God

And it had to be cleaned out!

“…false apostles, deceitful workers…”

  • lying

  • false doctrine

  • not dividing the Word of God properly

“…who are transforming themselves into apostles of Christ” (v 13). We’re dealing right now with the same thing:

  • we see it in the religious world

  • we see it in the political world

  • we see it in the academic world

  • we see it in the business world

“…deceitful workers…” (v 13).

Verse 14: “And it is no marvel, for Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.”

Now, what did he do that was insane? He thought and rebelled and took a third of the angels with him with him by convincing them that he could be like God!

Is that not insanity? Don’t all of these people who say, ‘Well, Charlie deserved to die, Donald Trump needs to be assassinated, and anyone who goes against us ought to be killed? Deceitful workers!

Verse 15: “Therefore, it is no great thing if his servants also transform themselves as ministers of righteousness…”

Look at the political world. Just look at New York City with Mamdani, preaching nothing but lies. Says he wants to destroy the nation, and yet, people follow him.

Let’s see what Paul writes to Timothy, and Timothy was one who remained faithful. Here’s what God wants us—through the words of the Apostle Paul—to do.

2-Timothy 1:1: “Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life, which is in Christ Jesus, to Timothy, my beloved son: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. I am grateful to God—Whom I have been serving from the days of my forefathers with a pure conscience—because I never fail to remember you in my supplications night and day. As I recall your tears, I am longing to see you, so that I may be filled with joy; when I remember the unfeigned faith that is in you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice, and I am convinced that it dwells in you also” (vs 1-5).

Verse 6: “For this reason, I admonish you to stir up the gift of God that is in you by the laying on of my hands.

Now, when you were baptized and had hands laid on you that was to receive the Holy Spirit; remember that!

Verse 7: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of sound-mindedness”—being able to think correctly!

That’s what God wants us to do. So, that’s why all of these things come along:

  • we stay close to God

  • we study every day

  • we pray every day

  • we look to the things and see what is happening

and view them through the lens of Scripture so we know what is taking place!

2-Timothy 2:16: “But avoid profane and vain babblings because they will only give rise to more ungodliness, and their words will eat away at the body like gangrene; of whom are Hymeneus and Philetus, who have gone astray from the Truth, claiming that the resurrection has already taken place…” (vs 16-18). It was there, as well, in Corinth!

“…and are destroying the faith of some. Nevertheless, the foundation of God stands firm, having this seal: ‘The Lord knows those who are His,’ and, ‘Let everyone who calls upon the name of Christ depart from unrighteousness’” (vs 18-19). There it is!

2-Tim. 3—We’ve gone over this before. But here we are; we’re living in the last days. Here is a prophecy of it coming down to our time and we can see it on the television or on the news if you get it with your smartphone or whatever.

1-Timothy 3:1: “Know this also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.”

Now, we don’t know how bad it’s going to get. But look at the rage and the insanity that these people have!

Verse 2: “For men will be lovers of self… [that gets down to everything that a person does] … lovers of money, braggarts, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection…” (vs 2-3).

  • they’re all homosexuals

  • they’re all transgenders

“…implacable, slanderers, without self-control, savage, despisers of those who are good” (v 3).

As I’m reading this, I’m thinking about that one woman in Congress who just went absolutely berserk and insane.

Verse 4: “Betrayers, reckless, egotistical, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; having an outward appearance of Godliness, but denying the power of true Godliness. But as for you, turn away from all these. For from men such as these come those who are worming their way into houses, and are gaining control over empty-headed gullible women…” (vs 4-6).

Think about that. you heard the name Luigi Maggioni. He’s the one who shot that that health provider president in the back and killed him.

These empty headed women are all rallying around and saying ‘we’re married to Luigi!’ I tell you, how accurate is the Word of God? I mean you can’t get any more empty-headed than that.

“…given over to various sins, being driven by all kinds of lust. They are always learning but are never able to come to the knowledge of the Truth” (vs 6-7).

Now you stop and think about that. I don’t know how many know of Victor Davis Hanson. Very smart man. He knows classical Greek. He studied Greek. He studied all of those things. He gives pretty sound advice. But the question remains, even if he’s the smartest man in the world, IF he doesn’t know the true Jesus Christ does he really have the wisdom that’s necessary?

The kind of wisdom that is needed is the wisdom that comes from God! Since he’s a graduate of the Stanford institution, IF he mentions God would he be rejected? I don’t know! I think he has some concept of God but he never mentions it.

Wouldn’t you think that would be the most important thing to mention?

Isn’t the Way of God, the Word of God, and the Truth of God, even in political affairs, the most important thing? Yes indeed!

Verse 8: “Now, just as Jannes and Jambres stood against Moses, in the same manner also these are brazenly standing against the Truth…”

That’s what we see! Insane! If you’re brazenly standing against the Truth is that not insanity? Yes indeed!

“…they are men of depraved minds… [insane] …reprobate in respect to the faith. But they will proceed no further, because their folly will become clearly evident to everyone, just as theirs also was.” (vs 8-9). That is Janice and Jambres!

Verse 12: “And indeed, everyone who desires to live Godly in Christ Jesus shall be persecuted.” We’re going to find that everyone who tries it.

Verse 13: “But wicked men and imposters shall become worse and worse, deceiving others and being deceived themselves…. [then he gives a warning]: … But as for you, continue in the things that you did learn and were assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them” (vs 13-14).

Now then then he also says in chapter four the same thing. He gives a warning why the Word of God must be preached the way it needs to be preached. Here

2-Timohy 3:16: “All Scripture is God-breathed…”—IF properly translated carries the authority of God.

Now the Greek there breathed comes from the word ‘pneuma,’ which is the same thing for spirit. You could put it there: God-spirited!

“…and is profitable for doctrine, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work” (vs 16-17),

Now we can take this all of us as elders and all of us as members in the Church of God.

2-Timothy 4:1: “I charge you, therefore, in the sight of God, even the Lord Jesus Christ, Who is ready to judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His Kingdom: Preach the Word!....” (vs 1-2).

That’s what we are to teach; the Word of God!

  • not the philosophy of men

  • not the wisdom of men

  • or anything from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil

Verse 2: “Preach the Word!....

We could just say for all of us also that means live the Word as we read in 2-John.

“… Be urgent in season and out of season; convict, rebuke, encourage, with all patience and doctrine” (v 2).

That’s how we are to do it—preach and teach—but we can also take this personally that’s how we let the Word of God and the Spirit of God lead us.

Verse 3—now this will come and go as time comes and goes. I had to learn a lesson from dealing with the Seventh-Day Adventist. they are so steeped in Ellen G White and in their doctrines of understanding Daniel and Revelation—and undoubtedly other parts of the Bible—that they don’t understand the Word of God!

You go back into history and here is a short history lesson: The Seventh-Day Adventist Church started in 1844 leaving the Church of God, which today is the Church of God Seventh-Day!

Unless like with everyone else concerning things that are not right in accord with the Word of God there is complete repentance and repudiation of Ellen G. White—she was never a prophetess, she was never of God just like those false apostles we read of there—so, I’ve had to cut off anything to do with the Seventh-Day Adventist.

They have the Bible they can read it. IF they don’t repent that’s their problem! IF they do repent, yes we can help them out! But that’s just the way it is right there!

Verse 3: “For there shall come a time when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but according to their own lusts they shall accumulate to themselves a great number of teachers, having ears itching to hear what satisfies their cravings.” So, we see this in motion today!

Verse 4: “And they shall turn away their own ears from the Truth…”

What did we read in 2-John? We’re to be walking in the Truth, showing that the:

  • way of God is a way of living in everything that we do

  • a way of thinking in everything that we think

  • a way of conducting our lives and our behavior in what we do

Here’s what they have done:

Verse 4: “And they shall turn away their own ears from the Truth…”

What is another big sin of Protestantism today? You don’t have to be baptized!

Just go to the day the Church was formed and read what Peter said:

Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit!

Look at the warning here compared to where it started:

“…and they shall be turned aside unto myths” (v 4).

  • philosophies

  • fairy tales

  • lies

  • rebellion

and the end result

  • insanity

We are indeed living in treacherous times and difficult things to handle, but we can do so long as we stay close to God!

The Word of God is always true and that’s what we’re to:

  • think upon

  • act upon

  • walk in

  • do what God wants

So, as we come now we’re pretty close to the Feast of Trumpets, which is going to come this next week on the 23rd; the return of Christ, which is something that all of us are looking forward to. But we also need to understand that it’s going to be fraught with:

  • wars

  • martyrdom

  • death

  • destruction

Before Christ stands on the Mount of Olives!

So, we need to be prepared for that; see you on Trumpets!
