Book: God’s Bible Pathway For Children

Nimrod and all the people came to a wide flat plain and they said, “Come, let us build us a city and a tower, with its top reaching into the heavens” (Genesis 11:4). God was angry. God said, “Behold, the people are one and they all have one language... and they will do anything they think they would like to do.” God decided to mix up the language so the people would not understand each other.

The people could not understand each other because their speech was confused. Then they stopped building the tower. The name of the tower was Babel because the Lord God mixed up their language.

Then, God scattered the people all over the earth. But they still followed Satan and kept the religion Nimrod devised. They made evil things like idols of brass, gold, wood, and stone to worship as gods. They followed wicked ways by practicing witchcraft, wizardry and all the false and lying things God hates. He hates the evil ways because they bring trouble and in them is no hope or future.
