Book: God’s Bible Pathway For Children

Because the Israelites sinned and Moses “struck” the rock for water they wandered in the wilderness for forty years. God fed them with bread from heaven called Manna. At last, God let them go into the Promised Land where they built houses and grew gardens, orchards and vineyards.

The Israelites obeyed God for a while, but then they started doing what they wanted and forgot God. They disobeyed His laws and way of life, so they had poverty and wars.

53-a

God appointed men to be priests and judges to guide and direct the Israelites under His direction. Sometimes the Israelites obeyed and all went well. Other times the Israelites would disobey God and trouble would come. When trouble came, the people would cry out to God for help.
