Dear Brethren,
The
recent U.S. Congressional and Senate elections were nothing short of historic! Americans overwhelmingly reacted to the government’s growing
debt, soaring deficit spending, and corruption at all levels by
voting out many of the rascals! But will things really change? We will soon
know. Many politicians are pleased with the outcome of the election,
vowing to actually do
something about wild government spending. Those politicians who lost (along
with their supporters) are depressed and angry. It remains to be seen
as to what can actually be changed in order to reduce spending and get the government back in line with
the Constitution. Remember this fundamental principal: It
is impossible to solve spiritual problems with political solutions! While we do
have political and economic problems, the actual underlying causes
are spiritual—for
as a nation we have forsaken God and trashed most of His laws and
commandments!
During
the run-up to the election, a number of leaders and pundits,
religious and political, seemed to speak out more about God and the
need to return to values and principals. However, certain questions
remain: How many people actually returned
to God in a substantive way? Was there sufficient repentance
and change in the lives of enough people to cause God to take notice? If so,
will it be enough to hold back the hand of God’s correction against this nation? Or, was it merely a half-hearted “repentance”—an
attempt to flatter God?
Since America descended from the tribes of ancient
Israel, let us look at Psalm 78, which gives an excellent description
of how Israel has typically reacted to God’s correction for
disobedience: they slightly return to Him, but never change their hearts. “Therefore He ended their days in vanity and
their years in trouble. When He slew them,
then they sought Him; and they turned back and sought after God
earnestly. [That happened after 9/11.] And
they remembered that God was their Rock, and the Most High God was
their Redeemer. Nevertheless, they flattered
Him with their mouths, and they lied to Him with their tongues, for their heart was not right with Him;
neither were they faithful in His covenant.
But He, being full of
compassion, forgave their iniquity and did not destroy them; yea,
many times He turned His anger away and did not stir up all His
wrath, for He remembered that they were but flesh, a wind that passes
away and does not come again” (Psa. 78:33-39).
Through the prophets, God pleaded with the people to
return to Him and to cease their sins, as Isaiah declared:
“Seek the Lord
while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Let
the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and
let him return to the Lord,
and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will
abundantly pardon” (Isa. 55:6-7).
In the same manner, Jeremiah repeatedly pleaded with
the people of Judah and Jerusalem to return to God so that He might
withhold His punishment for their sins:
“ ‘If you will
return, O Israel,’ says the Lord,
‘Return to Me. And if you will put away
your abominations out of My sight, then you shall not be removed, and
will swear, “As
the Lord lives,” in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness;
then the nations [of Israel] shall bless themselves in Him, and in
Him they shall glory’ ” (Jer. 4:1-2). Since God is the
only one Who knows the hearts of men and women, only He can know how
many have turned to Him—even in flattery.
Now that the election is past, the reality of the
magnitude of America’s financial problems (as well as those of
the rest of the world) will become obvious. The sheer weight of the
horrendous debt—public and private—will soon begin to
dramatically hit home. The truth is that there is not enough money on
the entire planet to handle the world’s massive,
incomprehensible debt—which reaches into the hundreds and
hundreds of trillions of dollars. When the full force of the problem
takes effect over the next several years, no one will escape. As was
covered in recent messages, out of the soon-coming global
economic/financial collapse will arise a new worldwide banking system
with a new world currency. This new economic system will ultimately
lead to the “Mark of the Beast.”
However,
in order for this to come about, all the banks and financial
institutions in the world will have to fail at the same time. This is why the whole
world is now in economic trouble at the same time. When the dollar
collapses, the entire house of dominos worldwide will collapse! In
light of this, we must be preparing as much as possible, spiritually
and physically. As we will understand, THE END WILL NOT COME AT THAT
TIME!
Afghanistan’s
Role in Prophecy: There are many other conditions that also have to develop, either
before or after the global financial meltdown. In the two messages
enclosed in this mailing, “End Time Prophecies Being Fulfilled”
(#1 and #2), we take a look at the prophecies concerning the nations
north and east of Palestine. As you will see, in order for these
prophecies to be fulfilled—especially going east, all the way
to China—a vast amount of development needs to first take
place.
I
believe Afghanistan is the key. It sits halfway between the eastern
Mediterranean Sea and the Sea of Japan. Recently, trillions of
dollars in vast mineral wealth—gold, silver, copper, lithium
and other rare earth minerals—have been discovered in
Afghanistan. All of these minerals are needed for modern technology,
hence modern weaponry. While various nations will participate in the
development of these resources, China is in the perfect position to
play a dominant role. Few realize that China has also been in
Afghanistan in the recent past, and has dealt with the Muslims there
as well as those in western China. Moreover, the Afghan Ministry of
Mining has recently granted a mining license to China—perhaps
the first of many. Consider this: The Chinese have the political
will, the financial means, the manpower, the military power and the
technology to be the
major player in mining and developing these minerals. Of course, other nations
will participate, and the oil rich Muslim nations will no doubt
invest money into the project.
In order for such mines to be developed, roads,
railroads, airports, oil pipelines, and electric power must be
developed as well. All these must be built in order to support the
exploitation of the vast mineral resources in Afghanistan.
Geographically, because of the Himalayan Mountains coming west from
China, everything must come through the Khyber Pass that connects
China and Afghanistan. It is the gateway for China to the west and
the gateway for Afghanistan to the east. Other land routes north or
south of the Khyber Pass are nearly impassable because of high
mountains and lack of roads.
As you will see in these messages, a great deal of
development has to take place to make it possible for a 200
million-man army to come from the east—across the vast land
mass of China and across the Euphrates River and on into
Palestine—with modern equipment and weapons as described in
Revelation 9:13-21. At the present time, and into the foreseeable
future, it would be impossible for such armies to do so. Another
thing to consider: None of these countries have the economic capacity
to arm and equip the greatest group of armies the world will ever
see. The only one that does is China—and perhaps India, but to
a far lesser extent. Indeed, numerous resources must be developed in
order to produce, arm and equip the largest group of armies ever to
be seen in the history of the world!
Since all of these things must take place before these
prophesies can be fulfilled, there can be very little doubt that the
vast mineral wealth of Afghanistan is the key. We will continue to
discuss these aspects of prophecy in order to better understand them.
The
New Lord, What Should I Do? We are now making the finishing touches to the cover of this new
book, which is more than a revision and expansion of the original Lord,
What Should I Do? This new version will be directed to people who are disgusted and
disillusioned with worldly Christianity and are genuinely searching
for the truth. This book will become the number one book that we will
offer on Church
at Home.
However, we will still retain the original edition in large booklet
form—to be used for those who are coming out of various
churches of God. We are going to rename this one, Lord,
What Should I do, NOW? Moreover, we will be able to print this one on our copy machine
because it is only 64 pages.
God’s
Bible Pathway for Children: We recently advertised this book on our Web site, cbcg.org. Every day
or two, major search engines—most notably Google—search
the entire Internet for new material being offered. They then
categorize everything into areas of interest and make it available in
their search “catalog.” As a result, we received from
five to seven thousand e-mail requests for the book over one weekend. Naturally, it would be
impossible for us to honor each request.
We solved the problem by making an online digital
version available. This way, each person who wanted a copy could
download (and print) the book for their child. A further benefit is
that those who have two or more children can make additional copies.

Christmas—the
Greatest Story Never Told: Since
the world is soon to dive headlong into the Christmas season, we are
including the newly downsized booklet Christmas—the
Greatest Story Never Told. It is absolutely
amazing that nearly everyone realizes that Christmas originated in
paganism and is not derived from the Word of God. However, while they
profess Jesus’ name and claim to be praising God, most of those
who keep Christmas have convinced themselves that it really doesn’t
matter—God accepts it any way. Little do they realize that they
are fulfilling a prophecy of Isaiah, as Jesus said: “In hearing
you shall hear, and in no way understand; and in seeing you shall see, and in no way perceive; for
the heart of this people has grown fat, and their ears are dull of
hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest they should see with
their eyes, and should hear with their ears, and should understand
with their hearts, and should be converted, and I should heal them”
(Matt. 13:14-15).
With all the merchandising, advertising and shopping,
“gift giving,” partying and drinking, people are
“striving after wind” and fulfilling their own lusts
while being fully convinced that they are honoring Jesus. Rather,
they are doing exactly the opposite, as the apostle John wrote: “Do not love the world, nor the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the
love of the Father is not in him. Because
everything that is in
the world—the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and
the pretentious pride of physical life—is not from the Father,
but is from the world. And the world and its lust is passing away,
but the one who does the will of God abides forever” (I John
2:15-17). Indeed, the truth of God reveals what an amazing spectacle
and deception Christmas actually is.
On the other hand, John encourages us to fully
comprehend that we have the greatest blessing of all because we are
able to have direct fellowship with God the Father and Jesus Christ
through the power of the Holy Spirit: “That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our
own eyes, that which we observed for ourselves and our own hands
handled, concerning the Word of life; (and the life was manifested,
and we have seen, and are bearing witness, and are reporting to you
the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested to
us;) that which we have seen and have heard we are reporting to you
in order that you also may have fellowship with us; for
the fellowship—indeed,
our fellowship—is with the Father and with His own Son, Jesus Christ.
These things we are also writing to you, so that your joy may be
completely full” (I John 1:1-4).
This fellowship is between you, God the Father and
Jesus Christ. You are granted the awesome blessing of having this direct relationship with the Sovereign of the Universe and His Son Jesus Christ through
daily prayer and Bible Study—and through living by every Word
of God. Above and beyond that, we have a fantastic future as the
children of God the Father, Who will grant us glorious eternal life
at the first resurrection. There can be no comparison between God’s
promises and the ways of the world.
Brethren, because of your love and prayers and through
the power of God, all of us together are able to serve the brethren
and preach the Gospel while preparing for eternal life. We thank you
for your love and prayers as we pray for you daily, asking God to
bless you with His love, grace, healing and spiritual encouragement
in all things. Thank you for your continued support through your
tithes and offerings. Continue to love God and love each other in
every way. May God’s love, grace and blessing be with you in
everything.
